2. I hated Dan Dierdorf more than anyone ever on MNF.
A complete and total idiot and all-around dick.

13. Oh, I don't know.
His completely idiotic, off-base, clueless commentary, his obvious bias, his speech impediment. Hated that fuck.

22. Can you give an example? What clueless commentary?
Did he say something in a game that wasn't true?

He's miles better (IMO) than John Madden, whom I can't bear to listen to. I was thrilled when Madden didn't do the Thanksgiving game any more. I got so tired of his non-football crapola, like the Turducken s***.

Other than Dierdorf talking about Michigan players, I've never detected any bias. Of course, no matter who the announcer is, football does pretty well - it's the NBA that really has biased announcers.

Anyway, I like Dierdorf and I'm always glad when we get his games.

8. He did MNF all right. Got fired after he suggested McNabb was only praised
because he was black.

15. How could you not list Dan Dierdork?
He was 100 times worse than Dennis Miller. Miller didn't know dick about football but at least he was entertaining. And can someone please tell Al Michaels that "alacrity" isn't nearly as funny a word as he seems to think it is?

20. Dennis Miller is a pompous ass who is not nearly as smart as he and some people think he is
he tosses about a blend of obscure pop and historical references and some people think that makes him smart. Certainly a talented trivia buff, but that's about it.

23. I can't watch any game miked by Dan Dierdorf
Automatic click.

He's captain obvious, and above all he makes the glaring mistake that irritates me more than anything else in football broadcasting. Low passes do not automatically hit the ground. Anyone who has played receiver on any level realizes that. You get your hands and forearms below the ball, upturned. The ball arrives and it may bounce toward your chest, but that hardly means it contacted the ground. The ball is bouncing off your forearms, wrists and hands. It hits your chest then you grab it, which should be a catch but the dunces see separation and scream it hit the ground. I deplore firearms but if ever they are justified it is in that situation. Blow away the simpleton morons who yell incomplete.

Football broadcasters in general don't understand the situation, with few exceptions. But Dan Dierdorf is the worst of all time. Every time he saw a bobble he shouted the ball hit the ground. Then the replay repeatedly demonstrated it did not.
