North Carolina Senate passes anti bullying bill with gays specificly protected
http://twitter.com/equalitync

This bill passed the House but never got voted on in the Senate. Now it has passed the Senate so it appears we will have gay kids protected at long last. I am so happy I am close to tears.

2. Does anybody know the specifics?
What's in this bill? Does it have any teeth or is it symbolic?

9. It requires school districts to have enforceable policies
on the books and to deal effectively with the bullying. It does have teeth.

3. Good -- I always say that NC will get gay marriage before PA
And, the day it does, I'm moving back to NC.

This is one step towards that, and a fantastic step towards giving a class of vulnerable students LEGAL protection.

Yay 'Heels!
