I called and when I said, "You're a hate group." his response was "OK". When I said, "I'm glad to hear that you're comfortable with that." he said, "OK"

Ring their phone off the hook, people. Don't let them go unchallenged.

1. Harry Jackson seems terrified - probably of himself!

2. Do these people in the video even realize that they're "SIEG HEILing"
The irony of a racially mixed crowd giving the "White Power" salute makes my head spin

3. LOL! It's actually something else
Baptists and other shouting types raise their hands like that as part of their prayer ritual. Putting your hands over your head makes you light headed, which they interpret as inspiration.

5. Yeah, it looks like SOME of them are "lifting their hands up to Jesus"
But the ones who are only using their right arms, and holding them out at a 45 degree angle are the ones that concern me. :scared:

7. Without actually saying 'Sieg Heil' I don't think
one can be 'Sieg Heiling.' By that rationale you might as well say they are identifying themselves as Imperial Roman soldiers or perhaps Klingons.

Having grown up in the South in fundamentalist Protestant churches, this is just 'laying on of hands' at a distance. Call it 'telelaying.'

8. But is it wrong to want to slap the shit out of each and every one of them?

9. No, not at all! I think we're all of the same mind on that one.

4. The youtube coverage is a *MUST SEE*.
We live among some very hostile and ignorant people.

There is no moral context here, unless you hate and despise your fellow Americans, unless you believe they are "less than human" or "the other". It's absolutely chilling.
Our country is governed by a constitution - not the Bible. Civil equality is not a threat to these backward and intellectually paralyzed people.

This is a shameful display of religious arrogance. As shameful as Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church on their worst day.

6. What I want to know is where the opposition was.
Granted, there is not much turn out to this, and everyone there could have arrived on one bus from the church in Beltsville. Some appear to be passersby. But you would think that someone, ONE PERSON, would be yelling in opposition from the audience.

What we need, and what we don't have in the gay community is universal willingness to oppose.

I'm as guilty of it as anyone else. Just the other night, I was in the convenience store near my house. Two men were in there, and one of the called the other a "maricon", then the other called him one back. I didn't say anything, not because I was afraid, I was just tired. I have voiced objection to this sort of thing in the past, even gotten into arguments about it. I have no problem doing that, but the other night I was not feeling well and I was exhausted. We can't afford to let these things go, even when we are exhausted.

It needs to be socially unacceptable at all times to call someone a faggot. IN real life, on You Tube, wherever you go. We need to have universal willingness to oppose.
