Not surprising though; in Australia those who were most tolerant of homosexuality and supported same sex marriage were Catholics at 60-65%.

What the pope says and what people actually believe can be worlds apart.

5. All These Other Coutnries Are Able to "Get With It"
and yet here in the US where we supposedly have all these rights and where we have a society which is supposedly SO advanced, we are forced to fight this battle state by state by state with no guarantee that the Religious Wrong won't find a way to repeal it if it is passed. WTF is UP with THAT?

We may be advanced technologically, but as far as things such as marriage equality, we might as well be back in the 19th Century.
