I'm going to go out on a limb, here, and make a prediction.
Based on the speed of current attitude changes, cultural shift, and the continuing implosion of opposition, I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think we're going to have a nationwide gay marriage law by this time 2013.

1. I'm not sure I agree with that timetable, but I do think it will happen in the next decade
And 2013 I think is when Obama will formally change his position on the issue (if he wins).

4. Look at the difference between 2004 and now.
That's only 4.5 years, and still while the right was enjoying its ascendancy.

2. Assuming the right doesn't enjoy some inexplicable resurgence, . . .
I believe that is quite possible.

3. I predict that if there is a millitary draft, DADT will be replealed along with DOMA.
DADT won't be repealed until there is a draft, and everyone suddenly "becomes too gay" to serve.

Call it "The Pink Flu."

And once DADT is repealed, DOMA will need to be repealed, Marriage Equality will need to be legalized, or else the government would have no right to force gay men and/or women into military service without equal rights.

That's my own, personal opinion.
