SAN DIEGO -- More than 50 local, national and global organizations are officially supporting this year’s San Diego LGBT Pride celebration, running July 15-17.

The list represents the highest number of sponsors San Diego Pride has ever received and has more than doubled compared to last year.

Eight companies have come in at the “platinum” level, which starts at the $25,000 mark in providing cash, goods and services or both. They are AT&T, Bud Lite, Cox Communications, Hale Media (San Diego Gay & Lesbian News and SD PIX), LGBT Weekly, BottomLine, Vons, Sony and Xtreme Ambulance.

At the “rainbow” level ($15,000), support is being given by Yelp, Manchester Grant Hyatt, the Vianova Group LLC, City Beat, Grindr, Instinct Magazine and JRE Media, which publishes Blade California and Do It In San Diego.

In four other categories that follow, the sponsorships extend to Hewlett-Packard, Wells Fargo, Viejas Entertainment and Productions, UCSD Medical Center, Svedka Vodka, BMW of San Diego, Orbitz, Papa John’s Pizza, the American Red Cross, Valley View Casino and Hotel, SDG&E and other esteemed local media such as Gay San Diego/Uptown News, Pacific Magazine, Rage Monthly and Lavender Lens.
