About the Program

Journalist Mike Weiss talks about the killing of San Francisco mayor George Moscone and supervisor Harvey Milk by Dan White in November 1978. He spoke at the Commonwealth Club of California in San Francisco.

About the Authors

Mike Weiss covered the Dan White trial for the Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, and Time. He is the author of "Living Together" and "A Very Good Year."

3. Omg. The DA booted all the potenial jurors against the death penalty

which means, all the jurors that voted for Moscone and Harvey Milk. They wound up with an older, conservative working class jury -- Dan White's constituency.

4. well that was a dumbass move which backfired but the defense

kicked all the gays off the jury.
