What’s Christmas without presents, and who could forget their best friend on that special gift-giving day?
That’s why pet supply stores and grooming shops carry plenty of toys and other goodies for dogs and cats. The gifts come wrapped in bright packages and stuffed in holiday stockings.
Lori Summers, assistant manager at Canine Commissary on Mockingbird Lane, said she visits daily with pet owners who are planning as big of a Christmas for their pets as they are for themselves and their family.
“Some do spend a lot of money,” Summers said. “Some people will just buy one or two things, and some will buy five or six toys.”
