Spanish Judge Quits To Avoid Performing Gay Marriages
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon05/12/122605spain.htm

A judge who failed to get Spain's highest court to declare same-sex marriage unconstitutional has resigned.

"I find it morally impossible for me to marry homosexual couples, and therefore I could not apply that law, Judge Antonio Alonso said in his letter of resignation.

Alonso, from Printo, just outside Madrid, was one of two judges who challenged the law. In October he refused in October to marry a gay couple, and appealed to the Constitutional Court.

In a split decision earlier this month the court rejected their cases on procedural grounds, saying that civil registrars did not have the right to lodge a case on constitutional issues. (story)

Poor baby--I feel so bad for this asswipe, sorry I don't feel sorry for this asswipe

At least he's honest in his bigotry.

1. Name calling.
You may disagree with his stance but why resort to personal attacks?
He couldn't do his job so he resigned. It's far more honorable than the actions of the various pharmacists we've heard about lately.

5. You have a point there
If he can't fully perform his job because of personal beliefs, finding a different career is appropriate.

He's still a bigot, but it's better to leave the profession than use his position to deny legal rights to others, like fundie pharmacists do.

4. He should inspire pharmacists all over the US to resign

Like Alonso, some find it morally impossible to do their jobs. At least Alonso saw that his bigotry requires he remove himself from polite society.

6. The ultimate physical oxymoron--
a judge who cannot judge. I haven't run this down but I am willing to wager that a balanced, objective examination of his record would reveal numerous examples of judicial intemperance. The world is far, far better off when these quislings are exposed, although the people who have been sacrificed on the altar of their private inadequacies and carefully camouflaged narcissism have borne far too great a cost. Cynicism abounds.

Weren't able to distort it to your personal prejudice? Bummer.
