Anti-Gay Maine Group In Financial Crisis
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/03/031606maine.htm

A group that has spent years battling LGBT civil rights in Maine is out of money and says it will likely have to lay off staff.

The Christian Civic League of Maine is pleading with supporters for cash, but it appears after a series of high profile defeats the plea is falling on deaf ears.

The organization spent all of the money it had for the first quarter of 2006 on last year's effort to repeal the state's LGBT civil rights protections.

It was signed by Governor John Baldacci in March of 2005 (story).

couldn't happen to a nicer group of bigots

3. They hated so much they've gone broke
How fucking sad. Why don't they blow up an abortion clinic as a fundraiser; or raffle off a can of gas used to set fire to a gay bar. Sick worthless motherfuckers who do not deserve their citizenship.

6. Nothing civic about these wackjobs.
As a Mainiac, I couldn't be happier. The irony is, the Party that they support is killing them financially. Most of these people simply can't afford the luxury of discrentionary spending to finance their hate. I hope we see more stories like this going forward.

8. You would think that these people would be doing it
out of their Faith in God and their righteousness . . .

but now, they are going to get rid of paid staff?
