Date set for 'Brokeback Mountain' DVD release
For those of you who can't quit "Brokeback Mountain" or are still upset about its loss to "Crash" at this year's Oscars, there's good news on the horizon.

Gay cowboys everywhere will be able to rope in the DVD version of the film on April 4, when Universal Studios Home Entertainment releases it to the public.

Along with the original film that was both a critical and box office success, the DVD also will include bonus interviews with director Ang Lee, who took home an Academy Award for his work helming the film, as well as screenwriters Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana, who picked up Best Adapted Screenplay trophies for turning Annie Proulx's short story into a full-length film.

The disk also will include a "From Script to Screen" documentary about the making of "Brokeback." The whole thing will retail for $29.99.

1. I can't wait for that to come out. . .
But I have a question. . .has anyone, perhaps one of our Canadian friends, seen C.R.A.Z.Y. yet? I think that is the movie which won best picture in the Genie Awards last week. . .about a gay man growing up over 20 years in a large French-Canadian family. I know it's in French. .. well, with English subtitles...but I was wondering if anyone might have seen it already and their reactions.

5. Identity
I really appreciate how things are progressing, at least compared to BrokeBack's time period.

I'd just like for the people of today to remember how hard it was, how all of those books they read once they even start thinking they're LGBTQ etc, or that their friends are, are all real stories and that it was even worse for more people.

One of the more intense books I've read is Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg.
And I've actually seen a dynamic between street workers, trans individuals, discrimination within the LGBTQ community for various expressions for persons with same identity titles...
