Gay Marriage Foes Protest In Minnesota

About 1,000 people gathered at the State Capitol on Tuesday to rally lawmakers to pass a constitutional amendment that would define marriage as only the union of one man and one woman.

"This is a moral issue that I don't compromise on," said Kris Kindall, who came to the rally with a group of 22 people from Clearbrook, just west of Bemidji.

The number of people at the rally were fewer than the past two years but organizers said that is "absolutely not" a sign that their strength is diminished.

Chuck Darrell, spokesman of Minnesota for Marriage, said supporters of the amendment have held rallies across the state in recent weeks and more than 82,000 have signed petitions.

It's a moral issue, yes, but the side this guy's on holds not one square inch of the high ground.

I wonder when the new Kristalnacht is going to be.
