anyone ever try Colonix by Dr. Natura?
I'm thinking of getting it- it's expensive, so want to know if it's for real. The web site and testimonials are very convincing.

2. Be very careful here
Lots of those testimonials could be fake. Go to the Better Business Bureau first and check out the company hawking it. Do really good research.

4. I'm a skeptic, too- site has "2,000" testimonials and tons of gross pics
of the weird things that have come out of people's colons... really gross.

I've been feeling like I wanted a serious cleansing for awhile, but products are so expensive. I don't want to be scammed!

12. Even weirder still
Every thing that came out the back door went in the front door.

I don't know why people are eating that stuff, but you'd think they would know better.

13. I'd avoid it
but if you feel like you need a "serious cleansing"...ask your doc to write you a prescription for Golytely.
Heckuva lot cheaper than this stuff and PROBABLY the same stuff in it.

5. Utter Quackery!
Get some exercise. Eat fruits and veggies.
You'll be alright.

Your colon needs no intervention.
It "cleanses" itself.

6. Stuff like that annoys the shit out of me

So to speak.

We have evolved numerous mechanisms to rid ourselves of toxins, none of which requires the addition of a huckster's snakeoil.

Product testimonials are good for one thing: portraying a slanted view of the product in order to dupe the desperate and credulous.
Product websites are good for one thing: portraying a slanted view of the product in order to dupe the desperate and credulous.

Maintain a healthy, balanced diet and a good level of activity, and you'll be much better off than if you swallow Dr. Quack's Shit-a-lot pills.

Incidentally, conventional medicine advocates a balanced diet and regular exercise, even though fans of "alternative" "medicine" routinely ignore this fact.

7. If you are eating stuff that you can't pass normally
Then you should change your diet. It is crazy to think you can eat stuff that is bad for you and then cleans yourself with a high priced laxative.

The primary ingredient in those laxatives is psyllium--the same stuff as in Metamucil. Save your self some money. Eat better and if you can't pass what you eat, buy a cheap over-the-counter laxative with psyllium. I've known people who had great results with the Walgreen store brand psyllium laxative.

And by the way, Dr. Natura is a major league SCAM!
