Amazing Emu Oil
Edited on Tue Mar-07-06 03:09 PM by Dover
Anyone have any extended experience with Emu Oil?

I've just started using it (about a week) and am just amazed.
I apply it all over my body after a shower or bath (after toweling off).
The weather has been so dry, and my skin is so thirsty, so I used some that came from a local emu rancher. What I didn't expect was the remarkably quick turnaround and such suppleness returned to my skin. It's truly much better than its been for years.
I'm just curious to hear about other's experiences because if it works as well as it seems to, I guess I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it's rejuvenating effects.

On edit: Did a google and found this info which I'm adding to this post -

1. The question is, how do they get it from the emu?
I honestly have no idea?

2. I bought some.
I have used it on my face.

I don't think it's done much more than Curel for my skin. It's very expensive too.

8. I don't think it would be helpful for scars--just burns or burn-like
injuries.

9. Every year another fancy oil to rub on your skin
Back in the good old days, it was jojoba oil that cured all ills.

Personally, I'd rather the emus be allowed to keep their oil, thanks, and I'll stick to my plain old unfancy cocoa butter based skin cream.
