...or lose their life savings to health costs?

How much longer will we put health insurance profit over people's lives?

Why is our health coverage, or lack thereof, subjected to predatory capitalism?

1. Because the PICKINS' are GOOD, that's why!
If there were no money to be grabbed, the practice would not be so popular.

Never underestimate the capacity or desire of anyone to separate another from his or her money. It's an absolute drive with some.

companies, banks, wall street, in one word CORPORATIONS!

Short of a massive uprising and the elimination of thousands of top corporate and govt officials you will never get European style healthcare. What could cause a massive uprising? Maybe a pandemic, maybe a real leader of the people, a new MLK showing us the promised land, you probably remember how well that worked out.

I think the simple truth is people have been sold a system that has nothing to do with themselves, but instead is about the profit of those that sold the company line on most forms of media and education.

8. Genetics make up around 3% of health afflictions and can even
be altered through proper diet and other lifestyle changes. So basically getting insurance prevents your house (if you have one) from getting taken if you cannot pay the hospital bill. But people tend to believe that it makes them immune from being ravaged with cancer or something. It's like getting married--it may be of some use if a woman has to get divorced and has children, but that is little comfort when faced with betrayal and all the attendant emotions. These things cannot stop most of the pain.

How conveeeenient. (For the Right, that is.)

Health care funding may not stop you getting cancer - but it may well enable you to be treated at an early enough stage to be cured.
