CLEVELAND � Congress will pass a universal health-care plan by the end of the year, predicted U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown during a speech today at Cleveland's City Club.

Brown said the problems of not having such a system are too big for opponents to say no.

"Fifty million Americans are standing by with the greatest care in the world just beyond their reach," Brown told his audience, who seemed to be receptive to his words.

The Democratic senator, a Mansfield native, said greater efficiencies and cuts in health-care costs would be needed to help Congress afford the coverage...

They'll just have to win three more games in a row, and the rest of the team will need to step up and give LeBron James some help.

Brown said the humiliation of no Cleveland sports teams ever being able to win championships was too big for it not to finally happen. :sarcasm:

(I mean, I love ya, Sherrod, but you're really being optimistic here)
