Ooooh, my mistake. This isn't about beliefs, it's about "orientation" and "compatibility". That's a COMPLETELY different set of issues!

ON EDIT: What's the WORST cv I could submit and still get invited for an interview, as long as I talk the happy bubbly talk? As entertaining as that might be, can I spare the time? Are there others who might be interested in trying it?

14. In fact, it is
Remember Monica Goodling was from Pat Robertson's university. The Bush Administration also soaked up a lot of bright and capable Liberty University grads. Look what a great job they've done!

19. Different school
Goodling went to Regent University, which is Pat Robertson's. This is Liberty University, Jerry Falwell's. Different schools. Both in southern Virginia though.

4. Oh, crap
Not that Liberty University again.

We are paying for our roots. This country was settled disproportionately by members of religious sects that were banned in the British Isles and other places. Generations later, we still are saddled with this.

10. Where do you think Douglas Adams got the idea ...
... for the Golgafrinchans? (The Golgafrinchan society kicked out their
useless people off into space where they eventually crash-landed on Earth
to become the basis of human society ...)

5. This Makes Me Feel Dirty Somehow
I'm a believer, but this is just plain wrong.

The first picture analogy that came to my mind was a prostitute setting herself up as a sex therapist-why is that?

7. Damn...I qualify as far as all that compatibility and orientation...
but my field is Geology/Natural Earth Sciences. I have over 25 years of experience with the Flat Earth Concept; as well, I have exercised several graduate-level research grants involving the total growth (as opposed to evolution) of every single thing on Earth that has ever and currently exists from the beginning of Earth's existence, a period of between 5,000 and 8,000 years. I wonder...does the Bob Jones University have any openings?

8. I guess I won't bother submitting my CV for a physics position
since one of my favorite topics is Cosmology and recent WMAP cosmic background radiation studies have pinned down the age of the Universe to 13.7 billion years (with about 1% accuracy).

not that honesty makes it any less of a travesty.

I'm surprised they're sticking to the young-Earth stuff. I'd have thought they'd want to get a piece of that hot new scientific research area, Intelligent Design theory!:puke:

15. Well, I'm out...
I believe in allowing people to be of any faith they choose - including none... I have background in teaching human evolution and relgious anthropology/archaeology at the university level... I think the only way I could scare them more than just showing my resume would be to show up dressed like this:

But then again, mebbe not.

At least when they see an "Islamofascist" "homocide bomber" they see someone with motivations they can understand.

18. Easy ...
.. just replace the content with chants, prayers and other catechisms ...

Mind you, the "devil-worshiping monkey evolution theory" is pretty compelling
stuff ... so it will need extra sacrifices prayers to make it better ...

"...with responsibility for allied health labs."

This position runs the anatomy & physiology labs for this university's allied health program: LPNs, respiratory therapists, massage therapists, physician's assistants, dental assistants, etc, etc... The person with their hands on your health could have been trained at this university!

23. I knew a fellow that would fit that job.
When I was doing my masters in oceanography, I had a fellow student that was a creationist. He had an undergraduate in biology. He eventually dropped out of our program since he didn't care for research (Go figure!) and went into science education. Last I heard, he was caught cheating on his wife with another student. It was a small program and the students shunned him after that incident so I think he left it. So the moral of his story is that accepting the theory of evolution is bad, but the sanctity of marriage is negotiable for these clowns.
