Great Turkey Dressing recipe for the holidays.
This was found in my grandmother's recipe book after she died. It was written in her own handwriting.

Turkey Dressing Recipe

1 cup of bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 cup of unpopped popcorn
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of sage
4 onions, chopped
1 cup of water

Cooking instructions below:

Roast at 325 ° F. Dressing is done when the popcorn blows the ass off the turkey.

2. I know what you mean.
I never trust those things to really be accurate.

3. Popcorn, eh?
Actually, I'm reminded of an apparently true story about my aunt (who is sharp as a tack, no dummy she), but had tressed a turkey up too tight for Thanksgiving, and my parents, presumably before I was born (or shortly thereafter) were over for the occasion, and my aunt took the turkey out of the oven only to, as far as I can tell, have it basically explode all over the kitchen, turkey particles everywhere.

Whether she had stuffed it with popcorn kernels or not is unknown, but it's never been part of the story so far.
