Our late night supper
During the week we don't cook our food per se. We heat up food and cook on the weekends. Mr. sazemisery has been salivating over a Salmon Wellington recipe and he was determined to perpare this last night after work and after the heat/air conditioning service guys left.

We sat down at 9:30 p.m. and ate:

Salmon Wellington - Salmon enrobed in puff pastry with sauteed leeks and red onion served with Dijon whipped cream.
Israeli Couscous seasoned with Garam Masala.
Sauteed Spinach

It was worth all the effort and the late dining hour.

1. We almost never eat before 8.00 and often as late as 9 or 9.30.
In summer we tend to eat later than in winter.

2. It was not so much the time as
cooking so extensively on a week night. Thank god for frozen puff pastry!

3. That sounds really wonderful!
And very ambitious for a week night, too. We usually do the same as you guys do...cook major meals over the weekend and quick stuff during the week. With all the work that needs to be done with the ducks, chickens, and garden we don't end up eating most nights til 8 or so now, either. That's really late for us but we seem to be adjusting to it okay, especially since it's staying late longer. :hi:
