2. I did half crackers and half pretzels
Edited on Sat May-02-09 05:21 PM by The empressof all
I know you know how much I'm gonna suffer for this in a few hours. I'm thinking of going full bore and running up to McD's for french fries.....I wrapped up what was left of the crack in double aluminum foil and zip locks. One is in my kids car the other is in the SO's......I don't know what the hell I was thinking.....

3. Disclaimer
I'm about to be on the rag in a day or two and it always, ALWAYS comes with a carbfest. No matter how much I try to avoid it. Sloth and carbs rule the day during PMS.

So, today at the store (where I had to go because I didn't have anything for breakfast when I woke up), I couldn't resist also getting the fresh refrigerated tortelloni. Chicken + prosciutto. So, it is currently sitting in the fridge, silently begging and mocking me. I just know it.

So, yeah, I get it. :P

4. Too much information, missy

When you're on the rag really shouldn't be in a food forum.

Not to say I'm not glad that you're still fertile, but just sayin'...

6. Dude, you talk about your illness issues here
and how food can heal or hurt.

And what I do every month is completely normal for a woman under 50 years of age.

:P

Let go of the squeamish.

:{

7. Well, I have to take a shit every day
which is perfectly normal for anyone at any age, but you don't see me posting about that.

:)

Well, I hope you had a good rag. Enjoy!

11. Warning, might not be appropriate.
If you described your poop in detail, I wouldn't consider that appropriate. But if you said a certain food made you poop, I might wonder why you felt the need to share but I wouldn't be offended. People poop.

But she didn't talk about her period. She didn't describe flow rate, viscosity, clotting, or the number of hygiene products she must use in a day. She said when she gets her period she craves carbs. Most women of child-bearing age menstruate. What's the big deal?

No offense but, I crave carbs when I'm on the rag too.

9. I doubled the toffee....
Mine were much much thicker...and I used chopped walnuts.... They were a work of art though regardless.

Why do I even come to this board when I am trying to be on a diet? I shouldn't have opened that link! When will I learn?

12. So, I've ignored your warning. LOL
I had seen this recipe at Smitten Kitchen before and didn't think anything of it really, until your dire warning, and then of course, I had to try it. I made it with graham crackers twice in the last month or so. The second and time was a double batch I sent to work with my husband, and kept a little for myself.

What I'm dying to know now is what you did with the pretzels because that would be my ideal.

Thanx! :hi:

13. I layed the pretzels flat on Parchment
I used the skinny little stick pretzels. You know the ones with all the salt. Then I poured the evil buttery goodiness over them. I used a double batch...OY! Then of course I used Dark Chocolate on top.

DON'T DO IT.......

I warned you! :hi:

The SO has learned to make it himself....He's been quiet about it though and takes it to work with him the next day so I'm not forced to look evil in it's face.

14. I let one of my friends at work try them.
I told her they were home-made Heath bars and she agreed that was a good name for them. That's what they taste like and the best way I know to describe them to people who have never had them. She's going to make them for a family gathering.

And, of course, dark chocolate! :9 I used some mini-morsels so they melted faster and more evenly.

You know I'm not even going to heed this second warning, do you not? While I appreciate the sentiment, the draw is too great.

Thanx for the response. I wasn't sure whether to use the tiny twists or large pretzel rods or what.

:hi:
