Oh how sweet it is!

They look like a cubanelle .... but not exactly. We got these at BJ's. Ive seen them before, but never tried them. They have the Sunset brand on them, which is the Mastronardi company of Quebec. They grow a ton of greenhouse tomatoes and peppers and suply us with the best out of season summer produce.

These peppers, however, were Mexican.

VERY sweet. We're going to grill them tonight.

1. They look like the generic peppers we get around here
only ripened on the vine.

Green chiles always taste a little unfinished to me, as do sweet green peppers. I much prefer red.

There's always an amazing sweetness under the heat.

2. These had the barest hint of heat when raw ..... and absolutely none when cooked
They were just sweet. They taste remarkably unlike a plain red bell pepper - or at least as unlike as one pepper can be unlike another.
