Downloading camcorder tape into iMac
In my part-time job, we have a Canon camcorder that tapes on mini cassettes and comes with a USB cord. The iDVD program on iMac requests a firewire connection (we want to download to burn DVDs, and possibly send to the website). Canon is currently out of 4-pin connectors; will any firewire do (as long as it's the right size) or does it have to be either Apple or Canon specific?

2. Thanks, I didn't know there was a Mac board.
Since I have XP at home, I usually don't have Mac questions. It seems what I need is a 4 pin to 6 pin wire (so says Apple), and Radio Shack claims that their's will do. My boss says to give it a try, so I'll get one on Monday and see if it does the trick. Otherwise, I'll be making hasty use of your helpful link.
