Question from another list - radio programmer needs help.
"Help!
I'm leaving the country in five days for a two-week reporting trip,
and the Adobe Audition 1 on my laptop just started to malfunction --
when I go into multi-track mode, I can't adjust for volume. Someone
suggested I click on the "Show Volume Envelopes" button, but nothing
happened when I did that. Does anyone have any other suggestions to offer?"


Can anyone offer a suggestion for me to pass along? I am clueless here.

1. What platform?



If you are using WinXP and if the software was installed for a while without giving you any problems you might want to use the 'Restore' feature. Select a date a few days before you first noticed a problem. Bear in mind when you restore that anything you changed or installed since that date will probably have to be redone. Good luck and have a good trip.

2. Several questions:
What type of laptop is it? (brand and model)

Does the volume control work elsewhere?

Is it too loud? too soft?

Could you control the volume via the audio controls on the desktop rather than internally in the software?
