Firefox problems

I have 1.0 and it worked for a few days, but then it started to stop loading. I went to their help site and found out that there may be a bug with the extension. So I uninstalled (completely) and reinstalled. Now, I can't connect to the internet. I type in a URL and nothing happens.

I've checked the connections menu, ran two virsu and spyware checks, and cleaned up my registry.

Could it be a firewall issue?? I have Windows XP.

I figured it out. I had the McAfee free trial preinstalled on my computer when I got it and it had expired. I never realized that it was still working. That's one hell of a powerful firewall.

2. FYI ...

The McAfee Firewall sucks. Just mentioning it so you don't take this event as an indication it's worth paying for it.
