Question about Image Resolution using Paint.net
I don't have much experience with graphics. I wanted to make a pretty simple bumper sticker for the shelter. The instructions for sending the graphic to them said to save it at 300dpi.

I made the image in Paint.net, but I can't seem to get it to be 300dpi and look right. If I make it, and then try to save it at 300dpi, it enlarges the image to a huge size, instead of keeping it as a 3x11 bumper sticker. If I try setting the dpi at 300 to begin with, I can't get the font size to be big enough in proportion to the canvas. It only goes up to a font of 72, and when I try to use that at 300dpi, it's still too small for the bumper sticker.

How can I make an image and specifiy BOTH that I want it a particular size AND a particular resolution and be able to use the appropriate font size?

This is what I want it to look like:

Thanks!:-)

1. After playing with Paint.net for a few minutes
It appears to be too limited for what you need.

I'd recommend you find someone who has CorelDraw or Illustrator and get them to output a file you can use.
Create the pawprint graphic at 300dpi in Paint.net and save it.
Bring it and the fonts you want along with you and they'll be able to get you what you need.

Good luck.

2. THANK YOU!!!
It actually makes me feel much better to know that the problem is with the program and not with me!LOL! It's been a while since I did any work with graphics, but I am usually pretty good with figuring out programs. I feel smarter now that you say the program has limitations!:pals:
