1. I had to put him down...

oh he was so weak and ill, I can't believe he made it through last evening he was really bad. I didn't want to take across town to an emergency clinic, so if he died at home - so be it - he was home. He managed to pull through the evening but it was only a matter of time. There was no struggle getting him into the carrier. Not a peep on the way to the vet. He was ready to go. He went peacefully with me at his side. Oh, how I miss him. :cry:

2. Oh, dear...

I am so very, very sorry. Based on how you described his condition, I am sure you made the right decision. We just had to put our old girl down now too long ago, and she was acting almost exactly like Calvin in her final days. It is just best to let them go peacefully, and you're so fortunate to have been there with him.

I'm so sorry again, but he was obviously so lucky to have you as his "person" :hug:
