Gratuitous Kitty Pic, and no bad news.
Chester is fourteen years old, unusually handsome, and voiceless like his mother before him. His sneering comments are usually limited to a whispery "Hwuh!" He has no health problems, as far as we know.

He was a surprise, weeks after my wife adopted his mother, so she has known Beige Boy his entire life (we usually adopt animals that are already adult)

1. What a hunk. Tell Chester that he has a big fan at DU.
Thanks for posting his picture. He beautiful and looks so dignified, I hesitated in calling him a hunk at first. But he must know he's a hunk.
:-)

4. They are gold, and strikingly so, though it's hard to see here.
He's sorta beigey-orange, with a few very faint tabby markings. In a darkened house, he looks almost white, earning him the nickname Ghost Kitty. He came out much bigger than his two litter-mates, who were both brown/gray tabbies.

Hit bit me down to the bone once, when he hadn't known me long, and I spent Valentine's Day '97 in the ER.

His Majesty is graciously receiving visitors:

16. What a handsome old man!
I also have a 14 year old cat, Smoke, whose mother showed up at my doorstep when she was 7 months old and pregnant. I've had him all his life, and he's the sweetest cat I've ever had (hides the screen so Sterling can't see it). He's very mellow and laid back, and I honestly think he thinks he's a person, because he is so uncatlike in his behaviour.

Here's two photos of Smoke, my own handsome old man.
