My dog has what looks like a mole growing on his face.
It's come up pretty suddenly, within the last two weeks. At first I thought it was a tick (he's dark brown and the mole is white-ish) since it appeared that quickly, but it's definitely part of his flesh. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

1. Yes. Get to a vet.
Same type of thing happened to my Dottie. It could be just a fatty lump but it also could be cancer. If it is cancer, it's one of the easiest to cure simply by removing the tumor now when it's still small. Don't wait.

2. I was afraid of that.
I know that moles can indicate cancer in humans, but hoped it just might be some not-too-unusual version of dog acne. Thank you, I'll get an appointment for him on Monday.

3. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a fatty lump.
It's just that it's impossible to tell and the fact that it came up suddenly makes it really suspicious.

4. Thanks, C_c.
This dog has saved my life, been instrumental in my recovery from doing two years hurricane recovery in the Deep South. He's my very bestest friend, I even bring him to work. He cracks me up, but also has a compassionate soul. My favorite hobby is taking photos of him. Here he is making me laugh while playing at dog park (Bear's on the left):

I don't know what I'd do if I lost him! So I'll take all the karma I can for my Bearba.

5. He's a handsome boy!
Most likely it is a fatty lump, but even if it's cancer, it is an easy one to deal with, so keep your spirits up!

Keep us posted!!
