Okay, this is weird
I haven't thought about the 2012 issue much in a long time, and now there are two threads on the subject here, and I'm thinking about it again. Okayfine. Then, just yesterday, I wandered into my friend's New Age shop, and her jaw hit the floor. She had been "meaning to call" and apparently I "heard" her thinking about me, because I felt the urge to go to the shop on the spur of the moment.

Anyway, the reason she was going to contact me was because she and her associates are planning a psychic/NA fair in mid-June, and the person who was going to give a talk on 2012 backed out. So she asked me if I would do it!

And I...er...said yes.

WHAT THE HELL. I'm nowhere near an authority on the subject! What if somebody asks a question I can't answer???
Oh crap. :banghead: Tell me again about strange stuff occurring in the coming months...

1. If someone asks a question you can't answer,
just make something up. (Hee.)

Or admit you don't know. BS-ing a way into an answer is so...Republican.

2. You know a lot more than most of us
Besides, a lot of it is subjective to our personal experiences -- no one actually KNOWS what's going to happen -- and all we can do is say what we're "seeing, feeling, hearing" on the subject, so if you're asked a question, answer honestly. If you don't know, say it. If you get a feeling regarding a question, say it.

You'll be fine. Congratulations.

4. I have to agree here, MG - You know more
than most of us - and not just an opinion about 2012 but a well rounded knowledge base, as clearly shown in your article.

What an honor it is to educate people who will be there because they want to be and are ready to listen

5. what a wonderful opportunity to be honest!
you can just share what you have learned and if anyone asks you a question you cannot answer, well, they asked you a question you cannot answer! :D it'd be a refreshing change of pace for a speaker to just relay what they've learned and not feel imposed to stand as the "voice of authority." maybe in that openness is the direction our new shared path will be taking. 6. AwwwWWWWW--!
You guys always know just how to make me feel better. Thanks! :grouphug:

I really don't know a fraction of what there is to know about 2012, but I'll give it my best shot. (But it's scaaaary! :scared:)

And yes, I do intend to be completely honest and if I don't know the answer to something, I will say so. It worked when I taught high school and business college--I think people cut you more slack when you admit that you're not a know-it-all.

Hey, I've got an idea, inspired by SC's post--I'm going to start a new thread where we can all post "2012 burning questions". Let me know what confuses you the most about the whole 2012 thing and we can all attempt to dispel some of the most enduring mysteries right here. It'll help all of us, and it'll also give me some idea of what kinds of questions might come up. I'll post it in a few seconds! :hi:

7. Fellow wordsmith, you will be fine
A keynote speech? I can help! whee! :woohoo: :headbang:

and then, if it goes to Q & A, you simply ground and let the guides do the talking, and don't be attached to your own ideas, predictions, etc. The disclaimer is: that you may offer the vision you get in the moment, but we are always at CHOICE as a species and as individuals. So everything we see is a result of choice. We can allow that some may chose to leave the planet rather than face the shift, we can accept that some have contracted to be part of the bodycount or whatever, we can accept that even the animals have contracts with the planet and maybe we are or aren't involved in that agreement at All.
changes happen in big & small ways, and this is already bigger than we know.
wow...and that was totally channeled, too
...so it is a big and easy issue to channel. All you have to do is be grounded and let it come THROUGH :) :loveya:

11. Egad, no more links!

Thanks, PADemD, but I should clarify that when I wrote a magazine article on 2012 last summer, I was up to my eyeballs in books, videos, and Web sites about 2012. I also had the honor to interview several people, including Barbara Hand Clow, Tom Kenyon, and Judy Sion. So I did hit saturation point on the info.

The accursed part is only my article in its final version remains. When my laptop died last weekend, it took all my notes and my drafts with it. :(

12. If you can afford it, there is equipment for recovering the content
of a dead drive. I went through that twice last year ($200 minimum each time) but all content of the hard-drive and loaded software was recovered.

I keep all of my documents on an external drive, though any drive can fail. However, unless it's been literally blown up, it's usually recoverable :)
