Astrology and the karmic wheel
I'm new to this group, so please forgive me if this has already been discussed in this group.

Does anyone else believe that Astrology and the karmic wheel are connected? I am a strong believer in Astrology. (However, I'm not able to do Astrological charts myself and don't understand the fine details of Astrology.) I believe that Astrology is one of the tools that the Universe uses to help us with our soul's life lessons. Once we learn the lessons of a particular sign, we no longer need to incarnate into that particular sign. (Although we could still choose to do so if we wanted to do so.)

What are your thoughts about this?

1. I believe that there is a link which we don't understand

I know a man that has a birthday 1 day apart from my dad, they have very similar personalities and life experiences, it's amazing, I believe there is free will-in that you choose your role and that is not all preordained, like by age 29 you will be a schoolteacher-I think that there is choice and a destiny where you choose your path, but I think your personality is part of your life's learning.

2. I do too....
We come into a life with a package of possibilities, challenges, gifts and struggles that can be examined in our birth charts.
My chart does not say what kind of life or work I will have, but expresses perfectly my talents, tendencies, strengths and weaknesses, along with my general goals in this life.

I also have not delved into the techniques of reading Astrology, but read and study Astrological aspects of psychological makeup and tendencies in relationships that has shed much light on my family's dynamics.

Liz Greene is my favorite Astrologer.

3. did you see the Next Generation where Picard could change
one part of his life, so he tried to eliminate a terrible injury but his whole life started
to unravel because the injury had created his spiritual strength. It was very interesting.

5. I also believe in free will and that we have many choices both before...
we're born and after we're born. In my opinion, there are many ways to learn our lessons. However, I believe that there are certain things that we'll experience in a particular lifetime regardless of these other choices that we make; these are related to life lessons that we chose to experience during the lifetime. However, I don't necessarily believe that there are lots of these things during each lifetime.

I have a friend who believes that, when bad things happen to people, it's because of bad karma. (i.e., because of bad things that he/she did in the past either during this life or during past lifetimes.) I believe that this may be true in some cases, but it could also be because the person chose it as a life lesson that they wanted to experience during that incarnation.

In my opinion, incarnating is all about allowing our souls to learn, and I feel that Astrology is used by the Universe to help us to do this.

4. Well, as an Evolutionary/Karmic astrologer
You have scratched the surface very insightfully about the nature of astrology.

I believe that the work of Jeffery Wolf Green would be of interest to you. I studied with him for a time in my search for a deeper, non-traditional approach to astrological thought. His worked centered around the evolutionary journey of the soul from life to life. His first book is, "Pluto: The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul." Check it out.

Astrology and the karmic wheel are intertwined. It is through understanding our pasts that prepares us for our present. I am working on a whole new astrological paradigm no longer tied to an earth-centered viewpoint and limited to third dimensional concepts. It is through my work with the karmic model that has opened me to the nature of karmic structure. When we produce karma in our lives, we create an energy strand in time. This strand is connected to the point in the cosmos where it was created. There is an energetic vibrational signature to that strand that creates magnetic force. Depending on the strength of that magnetic force, we are drawn to it in order to transmute the vibrational frequency or maintain the strand through repeated(karmic)action/inaction.

These strands permeate creation. As a soul travels throughout the universe, they are attracted to solar structures to which they have incarnated before. As they move into the particular solar structure, there is a vibrational/frequency distortion that takes place in accordance with that structure's planetary make-up. This is what is commonly known as the placement of the planets at birth. There is a further step down in distortion as the soul enters into whatever planetary plane chosen for birth. This is what is known as the dial of the houses. Every solar structure has a vibrational quality unique to itself. These can happen along many dimensions. In truth, these dimensions are active at all times within every solar structure. It is the evolutionary stage of the soul that dictates how a particular soul will manifest within any solar system. This manifestation will operate within the given relationship between the planetary placements within that system as the soul enters(or births itself)into the vibrational quality of that system. This is the structure within the soul for that solar system. The, spiritual/gentic DNA, if you will. As above so below, so within so without.

This is the work in progress I am endeavoring to accomplish. I'd appreciate any feedback from the group.

6. Thank you for your detailed response, and thank you for the...
book recommendation.

I'm very interested in what you said because both astrology and karma are things that greatly interests me. However, I've not found much about karma in books. You said "It is through understanding our pasts that prepares us for our present". In your opinion, how do we understand our pasts? Does this involved past life regression, or are there other ways to do this?

In your opinion, does good karma as well as bad karma keep us incarnating? If so, how do get a zero karmic balance?

What you stated is very deep, so I'm going to reread it several times over the next few days to try to get a better understanding. I love the spiritual DNA concept!

Thanks again!

7. I have been taught basically the same things
and astrology is part of the big picture. I am beginning to believe though that there is some process taking place that is releasing us from the wheel if we so desire. It's only a feeling, like a whisper that tells me when you get to a certain place in your evolution karma begins to dissipate without all the drama that normally goes along with "payback".

Somehow in our effort to right the wrongs from the past, grace, (whatever she is exactly)once we are aware, does play a part and not only lessons the pain but dissolves it.

Also, with free will and aware choices, if you were entering the wheel in Taurus this lifetime (and the wheel started with Aries)one could if they chose, move into pisces during the next incarnation or if really aware and motivated move off the wheel completely. Has anything ever been written or studied or taught about this?

8.  I can't answer your questions about whether anything's been...
written, studied or taught about your question (and I know that they weren't directed to me but rather to leanin_green).

What I'm wondering is what your thoughts are about the following: I personally don't feel that someone in Pisces is necessarily more evolved than someone in Aries. I don't think that we have to incarnate in the order of the astrological signs and stay in that sign until we master it. Do you agree? I also don't think that because I'm currently incarnated in my current astrological sun sign that I haven't mastered it yet. I feel that even after we've mastered a certain sign we can still choose to incarnate in it if it will help us with our current life's purpose. I think that you're saying something similar to this in your last paragraph, but I'm not sure.

10. I think that whatever "rules" the world used to go by, they
are all changing in accordance with our own specific enlightenment. Don't get me wrong, I still think there are some hard and fast "laws" that are unable to be broken but I think we have broken some pattern that has kept us locked in to a circular evolution and now we are able to move up-wards.

So yes I was saying that it isn't as it was and we are moving into greater freedom with our knowledge or enlightenment, if you will. This of course is strictly a personal opinion or "feeling" and not a teaching that I have come across thus far.
