1. Potential for US media to push some breaking stories 5/12/-6/7?
Nancy, which way do you see these stories going? Breaking against bu$h or (as we have seen so damnably often in the past four years) breaking as a distraction from his troubles?

Also, the part about Little Boots being extremely aggressive, angy and unpredictable (7/19-8/16) is more than a little scary.

Thanks for all you do!

4. I am basing my predictions about the press
on aspects to US Uranus.

When Uranus squares US Uranus, ruler of US 3rd house of the press, it will also be opposite Bush's Mars and square Inaugural Uranus. So I expect an angry reaction from Bush over something, and agitated response from the administration in general, and I am hoping for some kind of rebellion or a big story that the press will follow. I doubt it will be good for Bush. Previously, transits of Uranus to US Uranus have coincided with rebellion (begining of Civil War) or new freedoms (LBJ's civil rights legislation). Maybe Bush will push for something and the people will push back. I don't know what it will be, but I expect some drama and some surprises.

2. Looks like Bush's "second honeymoon" will be cut short right about March
Wonder what the cause of the big upheaval will be? The Draft? Roe vs. Wade? Patriot Act II (or III)? Maybe, it will be a combination of two or more of these things. Or something entirely different?

Whatever it is, I hope it causes some of the Republicans who voted for this fool to have some real regrets for supporting him this time around. Perhaps we'll see nationwide protests break out on a massive scale?

5. Is Patriot Act 2 supposed to come up for a vote?
That could be it, and it may go down after a nasty fight. It could also be a battle over a Supreme Court justice, since that has ramifications over Roe v Wade. Or maybe a second Justice will get sick and have to retire. Then it will get very intense. By the third transit of Uranus we could have Roe v Wade off the books. Uranus is often a reversal of what is the accepted norm.

But it is always hard if not impossible to predict the substance of what will happen. It is the quality of the energy that can be described.

7. My guess, Nancy, is probably something to do with the Supreme Court
I think finding replacements for one or more of the justices will shortly become a key issue in Washington. Chief Justice Rehnquist is ill with cancer and not likely to stay on the Supreme Court, or the planet for that matter, much longer, even if he shows up to preside over Bush's second inauguration. I suspect that he'll resign shortly after January 20, which will initiate the battle over who will take his place.

As you suggested, it also seems likely that one or more of the other justices will follow him into retirement. Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has been rumored to be the most likely to do so. But Justice Paul Stevens is 84. He'll be the greatest potential loss for us, given his liberal record on the bench.

I'm not sure if/when Roe vs. Wade will come into focus, though I'm certain that the right-wing religious fundamentalists are already salivating at the chance to bring it back under scrutiny. Maybe they'll try to somehow use it as a wedge issue/litmus test, for screening Rehnquist's replacement?

8. It could play out that the first transit is for the Supreme Court
But by the third transit a case has made it up to the Supremes that could render Roe null and void. Bush will make the case that Rehnquist could be replaced by someone equally conservative. But if O'Connor or Stevens leave, there will be a huge battle. And if the Senate Scumballs go for the nuclear option and end the filibuster, all hell will break loose. I don't know what the Dems will be able to do, but they will obstruct in every way they can and all comity, such as it is anymore, will end.

9. Thanks so much for your work, Nancy
You win the Pallas award for all you do.

FYI, I sent an e-mail to the organization that Arnebeck is associated with in Ohio -- the group that has filed suit with the Ohio Supreme Court to demonstrate fraud in the Ohio presidential election.

A man named Cliff wrote back to tell me that the suit was filed "about 10 am" on Monday, Dec. 13 in Colubus, OH.

I just ran the chart, and of couse noted the close perfecting conjuntion of the Sun with Pluto, and the Opposition of Chiron and Saturn along the Asc-Dsc axis.

This chart is a doozy. Want to study it, but have to run off to do errands. Will take the chart to my monthly Salon meeting this week, to discuss the chart with other seasoned stargazers.

It is worth noting that Rep. Maxine Waters (D) has announced that -- just as in the 2000 election -- she and other members of the Black Caucus will challenge the validity of some delegations to the Electoral College on Jan. 6, 2005.

I have the sense -- with Merc Rx during all these developments -- that something big is slowly gathering strength. Mote it be so.

11. If the time on this chart is accurate - WOW!!
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 12:10 PM by Nancy Waterman
With Chiron exactly on the Ascendant, the implication is that the plaintiff (all of us) has sustained a "wound" which is the identity of the entire thing. (obviously the theft of the vote is a wound in our democracy) What I find so interesting is that Bush's Inaugural then has Chiron on the MC, indicating his role in the world, his reputation, his ability to project his goals (MC) has sustained a wound that hampers him. It makes me wonder if this voting fraud will be part of the wound that goes on to live in Bush's next Inaugural chart.

I am not sure how far this lawsuit will go. The energy is clearly very determined and focused (Sun Pluto conjunction), and bent on a slow and powerful transformation of everything. The one difficulty is the Saturn sitting on the Descendant that acts as a retarding influence in the process. It may not cancel it but it will slow it and put up obstacles. It is trine to the 10th house Venus Mars conjunction though, so it may not be so bad an influence.

12. Wow! This thread is great!
Nancy, that Timeline for bush shows that, underneath all his strut and bluster, he's not necessarily a happy camper. As much as I wanted to see him OUT of office, I can't help but feel a certain vindication that he will get to reap what he has sown.

With Trans. Saturn on his Saturn, then Saturn crossing his Asc., then Pluto retrograding back to oppose his Prog. Uranus, (next summer) bush is prolly going to curse his dad for helping to pull the strings that got him put back into the oval office. He really has the "dad thing" hanging around his neck through all of this.

As for the Arnbeck lawsuit chart: It's interesting to note that Jupiter in the 8th house (research on hidden stuff) is just past trining Neptune in the 1st house (the deception/fraud being reported as a primary cause of the lawsuit), showing the easy relationship between the deception and what had just been "found out" (i.e., the aspect just past exact).

It's also interesting that Venus in the 10th, rules both the 9th house(justice) and the 4th house, the end of the matter.

Furthermore, the Sun rules the 7th house, and Pluto rules the 10th. The tight conjuction (applying) between the two, gives a great deal of power in dealing with the open enemies in the 7th house.

The 7th house is ruled by the Moon, which is in the house of self-undoing in the lawsuit chart. And Saturn in the lawsuit chart, sits on bush's natal Saturn.

I'm thinking this lawsuit might do some serious damage!

:hi: I've been in and out of DU for the past few days! 13. Regarding the Florida fraud story and Curtis, check this out
Subject: Explosive Clint Curtis testimony!

From Liz Rich:

BREAKING UPDATE!: CLINT CURTIS 'STUNS' JUDICIARY COMM HEARINGS IN OHIO WITH 'JAW DROPPING' SWORN TESTIMONY!

PUBLICLY NAMES FEENEY IN FRONT OF COMMITTEE AS ASKING HIM TO DEVELOP 'VOTE-RIGGING' SOFTWARE!

Testimony Described as 'Show Stopper'! 'Stunner', 'Jaws Dropped'! Audible 'Gasps' heard in chamber room!

* Curtis Testimony Transcript (4.00 / 16)

This was a rush job of the video segment posted, so forgive me for any errors.

Q: And did he ever express why he wanted a code to rig an election?

A: No. I immediately assumed that they were trying to keep you guys from cheating with it... so... so... I wrote up the documentation of what you would look for in the source code. How you would make sure the you - CUT - Mrs. Yang, and said, here's your report. Here's your program. And she said, you don't understand, we need to hide the fraud in the source. In the source code.

Q: Hide the fraud, not reveal the fraud?

A: Not reveal the fraud because they needed to control the vote in South Florida, is what she said.

Q: That's what she said?

A: That's what she said.

Q: To your knowledge, to your knowledge, was this used?

A: I have no idea. I was ready to leave, so... (laughter) and and I was tired and left the company.

Q: In your testimony a minute ago I think you said just before you left in answer to Congresswoman Tubbs Jones question, that... would you just repeat what you said in terms of uh the the uh exit polls?

A: The exit polls should not be significantly different from the vote.

Q: And if they were you would conclude what?

A: I would conclude someone's playing with the vote?

Q: Not with the exit polls?

A: That's possible too.

Q: OK and that's why...

A: Something is definitely skewed.

Q: Something is skewed with one of the other above.

A: To select which one you'd have to see where the problem is.

Q: Let me ask you one further question. Assuming for the moment that such software, such software to rig a vote was used, in one or more machines in Ohio or in Florida, couldn't you today detect that if you looked at the source code?

A: If you could get the machines and they had not been patched yet. I mean, once they get in and touch em', anything could happen. You could also set timers to do that, but then you could see the timer. Then you'd have to take those machines, decompile them, which I couldn't do, but possibly a Microsoft, an MIT something could do, you might... you might be able to.

Q: You might?

A: Depends on how good they are at destroying what they had.

Q: Destroying what they had by tampering the machine afterwards, or by programming them to destroy instructions in the first place?

A: Right. Because then since you...

Q: Either or both?

A: Either or both. You didn't actually seen what's in there, so you don't know if the code is running as a single executable or running in various modules. If it's running in modules you could make the code actually eat itself.

Q: Let me ask you one further question. We've.... I've heard that people who assume that lots of the election results, that a large fraction of the election result within the state may have been effected by deliberate fraud in a computer, are paranoid, because in order to do that you would have to have access to thousands of machines and that would be readily detectable. To what extent is that true?

A: In depends on the technology that used. If you use a central tabulation machine that fed in, all you'd have to do is set a flag. You set a flag; the central tabulation machine would flip your vote.

Q: So if you. So one person putting in bad code in a central tabulation machine could affect thousands and thousands or tens of thousands of votes?

A: Right.

Q: And...

A: And you could activate either automatically, or you could make is so that there's code existing on like an otonic (?) machine which feeds it, where you would punch it in, it would see the flag, the server would see the flag and then...

Q: And if you had a recount and no paper trail, would that be, as soon as that had happened, would that be reversible by seeing the discrepancy between the tabulator, the central tabulator code, and what the individual machines which had not been tampered with code?

A: Not if I wrote it.

Q: Why not? In other words...

A: In other words I could make it match.

Q: You could work back from the tabulator to the individual machines, so that the tabulator could tell the machines to switch their results?

A: Yes. It talks both ways. You could flip it to whatever you need.

Q: And they actually do talk to each other. this the machines and the tabulator?

A: As long as it's hooked up. As long as they are networked together, they can talk to each other.

Q: So in other words, there is absolutely no assurance whatsoever on anything with regards to these machines.

A: Absolutely none, unless you look at the source code and make sure it's safe before it goes in.

Q: Thank you very much.

Chair: Thank you Congressman Nadler. I know that Congresswoman Waters has questions, then Senator Miller, and then Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

Q: This will only take a moment, if you would come back to the ...

A: I'm new at this.

Q: As you know, there has been a lot of discussion about that, I think it is Diebold Company. Their relationship to the President and a group within the administration and supposedly comments about helping to insure that the President is reelected. In your world in your environment, have you heard any of these kind of discussion? Do you know people from Diebold... do you have any sense of any actions that may have been taken?

A: I don't know anything about that at all.

Q: Thank You

A: Sorry.

Chair: Senator Miller

Q: Thank you Madam Chair.

Chair: Sir.

Q: I suspect that people will attack you in terms of your credibility. Could you restate once again for the record your credentials?

A: I'm a programmer. I worked for NASA. I've worked for Exxon/Mobile. Worked for the Department of Transportation. And, other elements of my story, because this company... well let's get into it, why not? This company also, they have a NASA contract. and they were basically downloading tons of information, I mean gigabytes worth, and handing it off to this little Chinese guy named Henry Ng and it didn't seem right and he was packing things and I wrote a program for DOT that allowed contractors to send their information into DOT and he was kind of the quality assurance guy for software. He put a wiretapping module in the program that went to the contractors so that it actually sent everything they sent back to Yang. So I reported all this and just last March, I think, he was arrested for attempting to send anti-tank missile chips to the capitol of Communist China. If that's correct, this is such a small thing. Although I think that he only got a hundred dollar fine and no time.

Chair: Thank You.

18. loss of US geostrategic influence
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/FL17Aa01.html

This story, taken with Canada's refusal to participatein the missile shield, shows a definite trend.

The tendency toward a multipolar configuration of world politics, in which a number of regional power centers compete for hegemony over their spheres of influence within a framework of international agreements and institutions, is a long-term process involving incremental gains and losses for the major players.

The transition to multipolarity - if it prevails - has been set off by the severe problems confronted by the United States in its occupation of Iraq and by the decline of the dollar in international currency markets. The former has revealed the limitations and vulnerabilities of US military power and the latter has brought forward underlying weaknesses in the US economic system that are symbolized by persistent trade and budget deficits and are rooted in changes in the world balance of economic power.

At present, the US has lost the position that it was perceived to have after the fall of the Soviet Union as the undisputed global superpower presiding over an economic order integrating a world of market democracies. Contemporary global politics are structured primarily by a struggle of regional powers to assert themselves against efforts by Washington to reclaim at least some of its dominance.

20. Mid-June looks ripe for shit hitting the fan
During the election, Bush* was experiencing a Saturn Return. For the non-astrologers, Saturn is a planet known for loss, limitation, hardship and difficulty. Every 29 years or so it completes its cycle and ends up where it started and a new cycle begins. In human situations this generally creates a drastic change of events. If you look back, sometime between the ages of 28 - 30 something happened to you to knock you off course and send you in an entirely new direction, drastically changing the status quo and your worldview in the process. Perhaps it was a marriage, the start of a new business, a move to a new city, a new job, an accident or illness...whatever it was, it was BIG (and not necessarily an easy transition. Saturn has a way of knocking you up-side the head if you're not paying attention and it can be kick-ass when it needs to be.) Now, if you don't get the first Saturn Return right (and we know Shrub's been a royal screw-up all his life), the second one is a real doozy. I thought this would be enough to keep him out of office but the Election Fraud changed the picture BUT ONLY TEMPORARILY!

Due to retrograde motion, Bush* will again experience the Saturn Return effect in mid-June but this time it's even juicier......Mars (action - ruler of his Power/Destiny) will be in his house of Courts and in conflict with Neptune (deceptions) in the house of his Foundations. At the same time Mercury (news) will conjunct the Sun (focus) in his house of Self-Undoing. The chickens WILL come home to roost! Bush's* Fraud will be revealed in the Courts, MSM will cover it extensively, and it should lead to his decline in power and stature.

By mid-July, the Sun (focus) will be atop Saturn (limitation) and in conflict with Mars (action/anger) as it moves away from the Courts and crosses his Midheaven (power/destiny). The South Node (karmic trouble) will also be conjuncting his Jupiter so the days of Bush's "good fortune" will be in peril and his pResidency will be seriously hobbled and diminished.

I had been concerned about how all this would turn out - and wondering how/why the Saturn Return didn't have more of an influence on the Election - but seeing this follow-up retrograde Saturn Return, it all makes sense (at least to me) and I'm not worried any more.

21. I generally try not to wish ill will upon other people, but...
This man and the individuals surronding him (Cheney, Rove, Rice, etc.) really do have hell to pay for all of their crimes against the planet, nature, God and humanity. Nothing is sacred to these people, and they seem to care nothing for who and what they hurt and destroy in the process of claiming whatever tenuous grasp they can upon whatever it is that they are seeking.

They pay no mind whatsoever to history, which is filled with many, many examples of imperialists, conquerors and tyrants who reigned for a time, but were eventually brought down by products of their own hubris. It seems that Bush and his people will continue to go on making things worse and worse for everyone out of their own imperialistic ambitions until something or someone puts an end to their reign, which must happen sooner or later.

I just hope it's not too bad of me to want to see these men totally humiliated and broken before the country and the entire world. The day should come when everyone in the United States who voted for or supported Bush should feel tremendous shame and anger for ever allowing themselves to be fooled by this incompetent fool and the reckless, black-hearted charlatans who are pulling his strings.

Even as unlikely as it seems today, I still hope that Bush, his two-faced rat of a father, Rove, Cheney and Rumsfeld all someday get to stand trial at The Hague for committing war crimes against humanity, in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and in NYC on 9/11 which I'm very sure they played a key part in orchestrating. Bringing those men to justice is the only way the United States will ever truly be able to come back from the darkness.

22. Luna - very interesting interpretation
I was just looking at the June/July/August planets today, and there are some doozies that follow after that Saturn return. One thing we know for sure, he will have some new path, new awareness, or change of course from the Saturn return once it finishes. Another important piece of the puzzle is that his progressed Venus is now square his natal Saturn, and this will be exact in July. Thus the June Saturn return should be a doozy given it will trigger an exact Venus Saturn square. Ouch!! No popularity to fall back on there.

Then July: first half - transiting Chiron conjunct Inaugural Sun (symbolizes Bush) and second half - transiting Saturn conjunct Inaugural Sun. I would think he would suffer some in his role as president.

Mid July to mid August: Uranus returns to oppose Bush's Mars ( angry and aggressive) and Uranus squares Inaugural Moon (administration will be upset and dealing with an unfolding drama).

I think we can definitely expect some major drama during these months. But I am not assuming what exactly it will be, though we do know bush and his gang will be involved and upset.

25. jrthin - He has quite a bit of Saturn coming up
January (12/28 - 1/10)- square his MC again;

May 2005 (5/19 - 28) - final pass square MC;

June 2005 (6/10 - 6/18) - final pass on natal Saturn;

September 2005 (9/3 - 9/12)- crosses Ascendant;

October (9/30 - 10/13) crosses Mercury;

October thru December (10/9 - 12/21) crosses Pluto;

December 2005 (12/15 - 1/2) - crosses Mercury again;

January - early Feb 2006 (1/25 - 2/6) crosses Ascendant again;

May 2006 (5/21 - 6/2) - crosses Ascendant for final pass;

June and July 2006 (6/18 - 7/5) crosses Mercury and Pluto for final pass;

3x between September 2006 and June 2007 Saturn will cross his Venus

2008 is not so bad Saturn wise for the Shrubya but there is a good bit of Uranus (square US Mars and square Dub's Node). Could be some major upsets or an unepected military encounter.

Personally, just how does this Saturn Return work? I am turning 47 in August, so do I subtract 29 and figure how old I was back then, and try and remember what happened? Or is this just for Shrub because of the way the planets were aligned when he was born?

Also, if this can include me personally, and the last 29 years have been hellish, would this necessarily imply that things are going to turn around for my good? or get worse? Which way does this change go for me? You mention that if you 'don't get it right the first time, the second time around will be a doozy'. You frighten me! Seriously. Things have been soooo bad for me, since it seems like ever (at least the last 29 years), I just don't really know if I can take any more...

30. Saturn returns work differently for different people
depending on the natal aspects. You might be freed up somewhat after your second return, but that would be when you are aproximately 56 years old. It is not precisly 56, but when the planet actually aspects your natal planet somet ime during that year give or take.

31. Is 56 because of my August 1958 birthdate...
or am I missing something? I don't think this is a multiple of 29, and I'm confused about the math involved. Maybe math isn't involved and its just based on when the Saturn Return hits astrologically? If that is the case, and its hitting soon for Shrub, does that mean it will hit for all of us too?

Admittedly, I know nothing about astrology/planetary movements, but I am really trying to understand this phenomenon. Thank you, in advance, for your patience and help in trying to explain this to me

32. 56 is 28 X 2. Saturn has a 28 year orbit around the sun, so
your Saturn return happens approximately every 28 years.

Truly, I am not meaning to berate the point, but am trying to understand the phenomenon. To that end, I have yet to understand, if Saturn, the planet, is circling the Sun every 28-30 years, and let's say, I am born in year 12 of that cycle, how I can then mathematically start 'my' Saturn Return as year 1 = my first year of birth. Seems to me, that if I was born in year 12 of Saturn's movement around the Sun, I would be approx. 16 years of age (using a 28 year cycle), chronologically, before I could then add another 28 years to begin Saturn's 2nd cycle. If that is the case, then I would be 44 years of age, in our example, when the effects of Saturn's 2nd cycle began.

I guess I am still floundering here, trying to grasp if 'Saturn Return' is a planetary-specific phenomenon, much like eclipses, etc. are, and as such can be tracked scientifically. If that is the case, the year of that return will not be based on my birthdate. I would need to check a planetary chart of some sort, and see when last Saturn completed its circle of the Sun, and then see how old I was at that point? From that, I guess I could add 28-30 years to see when next its pull would affect me?

Please temper your exasperation with the knowledge that I am an engineer by degree...

34. YOUR Saturn return is based on its position
at the moment of YOUR birth. Saturn will return to that spot every twenty-eight years, and that will be YOUR Saturn return. That's why it's a different point for each of us - it's all based on your NATAL chart. For instance, my Natal Saturn is in Virgo, so my Saturn return will happen when Saturn is in Virgo again (which I'm really looking forward to, since it's been dancing on my Natal Sun for the last two years ;-) ). What you should do is consider Saturn's placement at your birth as the start of your Saturn cycle, and go from there. Does that help?

Where is Saturn in your natal chart?

35. Thank you for your patient answer..
I must confess that I know nothing about astrology, yet want to learn more. I do not know where Saturn is in my natal chart, but my birth information is: August 22, 1958, 11:30am, Houston, Texas. Would that tell you anything?

Also, did you learn all this from books? If so, are there any you would recommend to me, that would help explain charts, and the planets impact, in such an elemental fashion, that even I would understand?

36. Hi LavenderDiva(love the name, btw): You have Saturn in
Sagittarius,19 degrees, 06 minutes, retrograde. You've had your first Saturn return, and won't experience your second for quite a while. Without doing your chart, I can't give you anything more specific, and I don't do charts anymore, but it's easy to have a computerized chart done for you online. Astro.com will do one for free, and it's also a very informative website. They have many articles that hopefully can answer some of your questions. At the very least, they can get you started.

Yes,I learned Astrology through books, most of which are probably out of print, but if you can find A to Z Horoscope Maker and Delineator (Everything about Astrology from A to Z), by Llewellyn George, it pretty much has EVERYTHING you need. Otherwise, I would suggest a trip to any major book store, or Metaphysical book store that might carry Astrology books, and pick the books that appeal to you. Use your intuition to see which books will provide the answers you seek.

Also, have you checked out divineorder's thread here? It's Astrology 101, and may provide some of the answers for you.

Feel free to ask questions - that's how we all learn, glad I could help.

:hi:

37. Thank you sooo much for your help Notorious Bohemian!
I will definitely go to Astro.com and do my chart. I am also going to go find the book by Llewellyn George you mention, and see if I can 'grow' my knowledge about these things, for my own information, and to help me understand all the fascinating things you 'regulars' in this forum are always discussing!! I love to read this forum, and some of the mentioned websites you all talk about.

I will also make it a point to search for divineorder's thread, and learn more there as well...

I don't know if this is related to what we are discussing here, the Saturn Return that is, but in the last 2 weeks, I have definitely felt a shift in my energies and perceptions about my life-- for the better! I have been able to plan and follow thru on tasks that have been left undone for YEARS! Its quite remarkable really, so that's why I was so persistent in questioning whether I might be coming 'out-from-under' this Saturn Return thing (what I've read here makes it seem like a very negative influence). I have been accomplishing a lot of late, each and every day. My energies for the last 10-15 years or so, just haven't been there for me to draw on. That's partly why I am seeking to understand my chart, to know and understand where I've been, and be able to better understand my future.

Thank you again, for taking the time to get back to me... :hi:

38. Nancy Waterman, I must apologize for not responding to you earlier...
I didn't see your reply until just now, and really appreciate your response to my question.

Notorious Bohemian has recommended some websites, threads, and a book for me to begin my 'education', as it were, about this specific topic, and astrology in general. I am eager to learn more...

I read your website ALL the time, and find it really interesting! You have such a gift, and I appreciate your sharing it with us! :hi:

23. David Corn describes why Bush won with all the Saturn aspects
Edited on Mon Dec-20-04 12:07 PM by Nancy Waterman
http://www.laweekly.com/ink/05/04/news-corn.php

This describes the old addage that the winner of the presidency is the one with the worst aspects (not true in the previous three elections but true this time).

During the campaign, I happened to share a long airplane ride with one of Kerry’s top advisers. Several hours into our conversation, he told me that every once in a while Kerry would ask him, "What the fuck are we going to do?" Kerry had in mind Iraq and a Kerry victory. Thanks to Ohio, he does not have the burden of devising an answer to his own query. But Bush does — and not merely on Iraq. He’s facing a boatload of ugly challenges and dilemmas.

burden=Saturn
