Unfortunately, the projected destruction of the 'false picture' seems to have already begun for our culture. The collapse of the WTC towers on September 11, 2001 could not be a more telling expression of this. The bubble of capitalism is now in its final hours. And, tellingly, preceding 9/11 was the sorry display of the state of the US democracy - i.e. the 2000 presidential election in which people's votes did not determine the victor. (George W. Bush was declared winner by the pathetic 'ruling' of the Republican-dominated US Supreme Court which basically said 'well, there should probably be a recount or something... but, oops, we're out of time, sorry... guess the dumb one will be in the office, but it's not really our decision, don't blame the messenger'.)

I often wonder if the US handled the election properly and followed the true spirit of democracy, 9-11-01 would have been just another ordinary day, in a karmic sense. There is certainly a sense that the beginning of the new millennium was/is designed to be the 'final test' period for the New World. Passing would mean being allowed to move on to the next phase; and failing would mean being allowed to self-destruct. At this time, it appears that the protective mechanism that had been in place has gone offline for the United States.

It should be noted that, at least on a conceptual level, the US has lost the integrity of its main pillars: democracy, justice, and capitalism. What's more, American citizens are slowly but surely losing their freedom and individual rights - a direct consequence of the terrorist events (i.e. 'fear' activating the blind survival instinct). But people can at least put their faith in the higher power. Err... no, wait. Oops, we have learned recently that the the Church people, the self-proclaimed representatives of God, are little more than homosexual pedophiles!

The United States, the leading world power, is methodically being dismantled. Perhaps this is the unavoidable fate of a nation that has placed the pursuit of happiness above the pursuit of truth.

I think they might be referring to the closet phenomena,a sad side effect of living in a rigidly binary gender defined culture. Gays living two lives suffer for it..One life in the closet a fake persona,and a real secret to maintain can warp a person sexuality...I think this site was ignorant in how they wrote that,but I don't think they are all just a bunch of homophobic assholes. However like any group of people thre is always at least on asshole..in the bunch...

Gay pedophiles exist,just like bi or straight ones exist..And plenty of republicans have been busted for sex with minors.Some re thugs are depraved people that to get elected are closeted pedophile gays who prey upon little boys their status protects them and the publics refusal to imagine their beloved leader could be such a Jekyll and hyde makes people feel such cognitive dissonance to the point denial kicks in..

We have a "system" in this country where people who are depraved but still able to charismatically fake being "upstanding"and straight can get far in the halls of power because they have no conscience..

Sociopaths want to get access power(because lets face it our culture is superficial,patriarchal and some segments of the population are easily manipulated by those stupid binary gender beliefs/roles fed to every kid as soon as mommy or daddy dresses 'em in pink or blue..).. these "socialized"sociopaths seek power and popularity precisely because they are sociopaths,and they want to be irresponsible and abuse people and get away with it.Power of popularity is one way to do depraved things and get away with it easier.(michael jackson comes to mind).

Faking straightness wins votes in our gender messed up culture and opens the doors to privilege and power to hypocrites...and when the people that are not part of the"inner trusted few" rely on superficial TV appearances to tell them whom to vote for,it's easier to go assuming the sociopaths are"normal"people just like yourself .So many people will look the other way while "upstanding" sociopaths hurt people or be total hypocrites about who they are.Cognitive dissonance blinds people to seeing the ugly or unexpected side in someone they admire or give power to.

I've yet to click the link and look at the site, I want to help clarify the "homophobe" sentence in question.

I don't think the Author is saying that homosexuals are pedophiles. What the Author is referring to is the Catholic Church's problem with their "Representatives of God" buggering the Altar Boys. Perhaps other religions have had this issue and I'm unaware of it, but, clearly (at least to me), when the sentence states "Church people", "self-proclaimed representatives of God" and "homosexual pedophiles", the Author ain't talking about the gay community. He's continuing his theme of how the once powerful institutions in our World are crumbling.

Just my two cents.

And sadly the pope covered for these monsters.
That makes the"church" very worthy of condemnation right there.
