As we close out the merry month of May, I would like to thank I Have a Dream for hosting the May Prayers and Healing Thread, and ask that her love and the divine energy in that thread be carried forward into June. The energy in the Astrology, Spirituality & Alternative Healing Group gives me strength and solace, and I am so grateful for the presence of each and every member of this group. Thank you all for your contributions. If if you don't post on a regular basis, your presence is a vital part of the energy of this group.

So I can ditch all of my freelance stuff and do only one, relatively stable job for a while. My strongest possiblity just died, and that's a bit frustrating, although I knew I needed to widen (or deepen?) the scope of my job search anyway.

To be a little more specific, if it helps anyone, especially our forum's sensitives, I had a meeting with one of my most reliable readers yesterday about this. She said that what was coming through to her about my next serious job was that it was not something I had yet considered doing, but was an option that has already been suggested to me several times by a single person in my life, and which I've rejected on the grounds that doing work like that feels "frivilous" to me. She had the impression that this person was younger and female. Needless to say, there's no one in my life who meets that criteria--well, no one who has given me career advice, anyway. My reader said that if she had to narrow down the specifics of the job, she couldn't, except to say that it might involve a lot of lifting, stretching and physical activity. Other possibilities include life as some kind of puppet, executive's lackey or organizer of group activities for a large firm of some sort--that part was less clear to her, and because it was she suggested that while it could lead to other opportuinities, it might not be the thing that I considered my "job," more like something on the side done for the purpose of credentializing. The second option sounds a little bit more plausible to me, (I'm really not looking for jobs that involve manual labor--I'm not built for that) if distasteful. The second potential she described reminds me of my last job, which rapidly degenerated into a situation with a lot of abuse and inappropriateness (something I'm obviously looking to avoid taking into my life).

Anyway, the most important thing is that I find something, so just praying for BlueIris' intuition, critical thinking, and search skills to kick into high gear now would be helpful. Thanks, everyone!

I managed to get a sencond-degree burn last night and it's sucks. Yes, before anyone asks, I have received medical attention, had it properly cleaned and bandaged and just filled my Rx for anti-biotics. But the extra energy would be much appreciated. Thank you.

and hope that means that there are fewer people on this forum who are in need of healing. On the other hand, there are still many entities on this planet who need healing. The trees, air, soil, plants and animals all need special attention. Our Mother Earth has been so good to shelter humanity for so long. She is battered and worn and in need of healing. Please say a prayer of thanksgiving and healing for her every day.

gratitude and compassion for Mother Earth. She has sacrificed greatly for her human children.

I have a court date of June 20th. I could face a $500 fine and a year in jail. My lawyer is working for 2 years probation. I spent 2 weeks in jail and I am not sure I could survive a year. Please send lots of light and love my way! Thanks.

Pres. Bush was supposed to meet with his advisors today at Camp David to discuss the Iraq War. I meant to post this earlier, but since it's never too late to pray or meditate, I ask that the universe surround these advisors with love and light; touch their hearts and open their eyes to the truth. I also request that the war in Iraq be resolved for the highest good for all involved.

these influential people is exactly this. I send light and ask that it be used to help open the mind of anyone who is a position of power who can change the Bush administration for the better, especially these advisors.

it was only a one-day event, but heard on the radio this morning that the discussions will continue today. I am sending light to these advisors and ask that their decisions be made in the name of love and for the highest good of all.

a white light around Bush himself. As I've posted before, something happening to him at this crucial juncture would be just about the worst thing ever for our country. Plus, I want him to remain alive and unharmed for other reasons (so he can stand trial if it ever comes to that, for instance). And I guess there's always the remote possibility that the white light could help him find the courage he needs to make some sort of a positive choice, something that would facilitate peace.

There is hope that he and the others will return to the light some day, and he might be at such a low point that he doesn't see any other choice but to face himself and his deeds, and try to make some sort of atonement.

Please pray for me. I will be having eye surgery again this Thursday - the whole nine yards: The laser treatment to cauterize the "rogue blood vessel" bleeding into my retina, the betadine wash followed by a steroid shot into the eye, and the skin cancer drug that means I have to avoid sunlight for five days.

Please know I also pray for everyone who requests it, and thank you all for your kindness and caring, you are greatly appreciated.

Thus far, the Uranus retrograde has been really messing with my life. Specifically, my transportation. This has been very disruptive. I have been working hard until now to get my life straightened out and these new developments are endangering the progress I've made.

I'll be sending you energy, and I ask that the Universe be as gentle as possible with you in reference to this retrograde energy.

I wonder if there's such a thing as an energy diffuser because that sounds like what you need.

Or a force that will reverse the charge upon my body that has attracted this strange cluster of problems to my doorstep. I've tried smudging, choas protection spells and my usual list of stress relief strategies ((legal) drugs, yoga, more drugs, herbal essences, dru--um, sleep, meditation and remembering that I can't control much of anything, let alone the terrible decisions others insist on making). Nothing doing. Sucks.

That was really all I was trying to do. My biggest objection was that formalizing the relationship she's in for the purpose of creating a child was good for her, and that all she was doing was trying to meet other people's needs while ignoring her own.

I think it's great, and could easily inspire many who post in this thread.

the mid-term elections. Let us mediate/pray/focus on those who plan to vote for GOP candidates, even though those candidates' positions are in opposition to the best interests of their supporters, especially those who have lost their jobs to out-sourcing. Many of the GOP supporters will vote for candidates that appeal to their racist and religious (intolerant) beliefs. Please ask the universe to hold these people (and all of us) in the light and open their hearts and minds to truth and love for all.

Could we throw in some prayers for a quick and relatively painless recovery for Dad of Mrs. Grumpy, too?

I would like to pray for the Earth- For cleansing and repair of the water ways, the soil, and the air. And, I would especially like to send out loving energy to all of the GE crops. The manipulation of our flora and fauna by big corps has created these unatural plants. But, they are alive and deserve to be loved and cared for. As a scientist, I would also pray they do no lasting damage to our ecosystem.

to the GE crops (Frankenfood). I think it was Matthew Ward who said that those who believe that GM foods will harm them will usually make that happen. My Dad and I plant seeds that we get from the farmer's co-op every year. We don't know the heritage of these seeds, but we plant our garden and care for it, then harvest the crops, and give thanks for the bounty that Mother Earth has provided for us. I have always heard that in order to have good immune function, one needs to eat foods that are grown in the area where one lives. I don't know if that's true, but it does make a certain amount of sense. I've been trying to eat local foods and esp. local honey, and we get meat from grass fed cows that are raised and butchered just a few miles away. I would dearly love to have a resurection in local farming and I don't mean those commercial chicken operations that are all over this county. There was even a canning operation here, years ago, where people would take their produce to the neighborhood schools and use their commercial kitchens to do their canning. The operation was supervised by the state agricultural extension service.
