Cheney falls asleep again
thanks to kpete for spotting this one

This is from mpetrelis.blogspot.com
AFP: Photo of Cheney Nodding Off at Iraq Meeting

Remember the photos of Vice President Cheney's catching a catnap during the recent visit to Washington by the leader of China? Well, that wasn't the only time he needed forty-winks at an important public function. Seems likes Cheney had trouble keeping his eyes open during Bush's crucial meeting at Camp David on June 13 for the cabinet

1. Reminds me of Reagan.
Yes, I was around then and remember it well.

2. Yes, you are right
but you will notice that neither Bush or Cheney have any paperwork in front of them, only
Conde

3. I also noticed this. It was not surprising.
For some reason, Condi has a different energy about her, in my opinion. She doesn't seem as confident.

4. She also looks very angry
Lately I am getting the sense that Cheney and Bush have been closer than ever.

5. It's weird -- I don't sense anger; I sense sorrow.
Believe me, I'm not at all a Condi lover. However, I sense sorrow in Condi from this picture.

The problem with pictures is that we only get a single frame. I'd love to see a film of this to get a better feel for the entire situation.

MissWaverly, you're much better at picture interpretation than I am. However, for some reason, this particular picture jumped out at me unlike other pictures that we've analyzed here in the past.

6. well, maybe you are right but look at her eyebrows
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 10:36 AM by MissWaverly
you will see that they are drawn down, must people scowl when they are angry not sad, sadness
is usually in the eyes and a downturned mouth. However, she could be sad, she looks tense,
like she is ready to jump up and go out the door.

7. She looks sorrowful to me, too. I usually see anger or defiance
in her face, but this looks like sadness. Would love to see who is on the other side of the table. Bush looks more engaged, even thoughtful, than usual, too.

As for Cheney, he is looking/acting like my husband did in the years before he died of a massive coronary. He probably has blockages and is not getting enough oxygen. My husband would fall asleep everytime he sat down.

10. thanks for the insight Japple
I appreciate it, I also notice that Bush is slightly turned to Conde, as if he is including
her but she seems apart, she is not interacting with him at all.

8. Something has happened to Cheney.
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 03:10 PM by cliss
This is a photo that's been posted in the lobby. Notice the cold, hard stare from Cheney. He seems bitter, absolutely devastated with his plans up in smoke. It's important to realize Cheney and the PNAC have been working for this (war in Iraq, take over the world) for a long time...about 20 years. Cheney has been in the government for decades.

He was probably ecstatic when he finally got his chance to rule the world.....and make a little money on the side. But judging from his face, you can see the hate, the acid that must be churning in his stomach. He's probably seriously looking for someone to blame.....and that someone is Don Rumsfailed.

When he runs out of steam, he just nods off into dream land, like in the photo above at Camp David. Just tragic...a horrible fate to befall this country. To be cursed by someone like Dick Cheney.

13. Me too, Ms. W. Cold, very cold.
I sense that there is no collaboration of ideas, and no work being done, at all.

Just an every man for himself sort of energy, and daily photo ops- that are, quite frankly, very revealing!

When I say every man for himself I mean, that everyone is pilfering at will! I sense that they are all trying to get as much $$$ as possible, before *co's number is up.

16. I believe that something is going to break soon
I have getting a sense of tremendous energy build-up. I don't know how to describe it, maybe
it is karma, I don't know, but I sense great unrest, everything is outwardly calm but beneath
the surface, everything is seething anger, hatred. Bush and crew flit across the surface of the
things with no awareness of what is going on at all, the same as the world stage. It's like
party, party, party. Cheney sees but he is not part of the circle, never really has been.

11. The dark side
That is supposed to be a phrase used by Cheney himself. See article at http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/PBS_Frontline_Inside_battle_between_Cheney_0617.html

I find it fascinating that this character whom many of us see as the epitome of the Dark Side actually uses this phrase to describe his actions.

12. well, I think it's a darn shame
that we have scandal after scandal of blatant Republican corruption, they grabbed with both
hands after America was down on its knees from 9-11. It's pathetic. Truly pathetic.

down on its knees and they basically kicked it again repeatedly and mercilessly.

15. you have heard the one about the contractor
that stored all the 9-11 donations from around the country for New Yorkers, he had a government
contract, well he took stuff and sent it to Minnesota to be sold for a buck. How much of this
wink, wink, nudge, nudge, smirk stuff has been going on since day one.

story is here
9-11 thefts
Report: Thefts Not Prosecuted After Government Discovered FBI Misdeeds
The disaster specialist was proud to dispatch replacement boots from the Long Island warehouse of a company paid by the government to manage rescue supplies donated by Americans. Then came the moment that crushed Christopherson's faith.

His employer dispatched trucks to the warehouse and loaded hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of donated bottled water, clothes, tools and generators to be moved to Minnesota in a plot to sell some for profit, according to government records and interviews.

Dan L'Allier said he witnessed 45 tons of the New York loot being unloaded in Minnesota at his company's headquarters. He and Christopherson complained to a company executive, but were ordered to keep quiet. They persisted, going instead to the FBI.

The two whistleblowers eventually lost their jobs, received death threats and were blackballed in the disaster relief industry. But they remained convinced their sacrifice was worth seeing justice done.

live in an alternate universe where none of the rules with which we grew up apply.

18. please, don't give up, the majority of us are good
these are the kids that cheated on the test and blew spit balls at the teacher, the problem is
that they're are now in power. If we can expose the lies, then their fundy base will abandon
them.

19. The problem is that we've repeatedly exposed the lies and their...
base has not abandoned them. As long as they have hate radio and control the media, this will continue, in my opinion. I have many extremely intelligent friends who are what I've always considered to be good people who continue to support these tyrants and consider liberals to be the cause of all evil on the Earth.

Our only hope is to raise the frequency of the planet, in my opinion.

21. Just wondered about what people think
about the results of Cheney's latest physical. He was not, from what I understand, undergoing extensive cardiac/pulmonary testing, excep for the electrocardiogram (I think this will be done later in the year). However, I find it hard to believe that he got a "clean bill of health".

24. me neither
remember last week I kept saying that I saw waves going to DC, I interpreted them as waves of
energy what I actually saw were waves of black water, its hard when you see something to figure
out what it means but my sister says that 1/3 of the DC is flooded from the rain and that a huge oak tree has fallen on the White House Lawn.

what was the physical, listening to the heart rate, an eye exam, cough twice? It could have
been a minimal exam which ignores the big picture.

27. I saw an earlier thread in GD
which indicated that this was not a cardiac exam (I think the article said that that particular exam was happening in November).

So, I am sure you are right.

But, the fact that he is falling asleep in public should have been of some concern to whoever was performing this exam.

It's sad, but, I don't trust anything this admin tells the media anymore.
