What is the Age of Aquarius?

And why should we be happy about it?

If it IS, then shouldn't we take some precautions? Be forwarned? Nothing is pure. Not on this planet. If Pure Light were to show, it would surely devour all. We know this. That is why darkness is allowed a season.

I was watching the Light fall over water cascading over big rocks yesterday. I thought ... if there were no darkness would we have a name for Light? Would that sparkle, indescribable glisten, glow, reflection, refraction ... have a name? We would just assume. That Is.

I lothe darkness and evil. But would I know it without Goodness?

Age of Aquarius. I know Aquarians. They seem very secretive. I know the legacy goes they are way beyond advanced. But I don't see that in Real Life. They are beggars. For all their advancement, and I do belive they have some, they still need us. All of us.

Let us not put our hopes on one narrow focus. Let's combine our talents and different perspectives to find a full mosaic.

Precession of the Equinox is the age old phenomenon whereby an observer on Earth will notice that after one year*, he will not realign with the exact same point in inertial space. In ancient times observers on Earth noticed that the vernal equinox aligned with the constellation Aries, then after a few thousand years with Pisces. Now as many know, we are at the "dawning of the age of Aquarius." This backward procession is the precession of the equinox – whereby the equinoctial point slowly recedes through the 12 constellations of the Zodiac, completing a full cycle in about 24,000 years.

There is much speculation about when the exact date the "Age of Aquarius" will officially begin. The constellations have no precise boundaries. The dates of the AGES are approxiamate. (But people say The Age of Aquarius goes from approximately 2012 to 4172.)

Wow. I know you said that it's not exact; but that sure is interesting.

or opposites as different sides of a whole. One of the laws of the universe seems to be opposites pulling against each other to create something in the middle. It's been said that our planet is a negative one, which is why there seems to be so much evil, but it also seems to bring out the goodness in so many as well.

Perhaps this ascension that everyone talks about is concerning our entering the Age of Aquarius. I'm afraid I won't live long enough to enjoy it but it can't come soon enough for me anyway. I can't take what is happening today anymore.

I finally watched that video of the soldiers killing Iraqi civilians set to music. I cried for hours afterwards. I thought we had put all that kind of stuff behind us after Vietnam.

Attachment to the notion of duality only contributes to our suffering. If we allow ourselves to embrace oneness - instead of duality - we can begin to let go of some of our suffering.

I began to think of transforming duality into oneness by imagining a coin with one aspect of a duality on each side, light/dark, good/bad, love/fear, hate/compassion... the coin is flipped into motion and it spins on its axis. While spinning, I cannot distinguish one side of the coin from the other, in fact, the coin seems transparent while in motion.

The dualities disappear, they are but aspects of the same coin.
