3. I missed that thread.
There are predictions among mediums that the USA will take the form of a true democracy and rule with a Senate consisting of ordinary people who will do their civic duty by serving a term in the Senate like the draft. There will be no other branches of government. This horoscope sort of dovetails with that idea in perhaps 20 or thirty years.

That's probably the upheavel the horoscope predicts, a change in how we govern. Everything that occurs until then is setting the stage for that time. So it's not like we are going to have decades more of Bush politics but that the evolution towards real democracy will take that long. Well, that's my interpretation anyway, my two cents.

It makes sense to me that we didn't see this coming in 2000 because it was Pluto that had been setting up this occurrence for twenty years before we knew what hit us. Now looking backwards, we can see how things started to change with the Nixon administration and how these trends moved forward underground almost until they came to the surface in the selection of 2000.

2. Yet another "happy" exchange in GD, I see.
Wow. Why DO people feel compelled to post such negative stuff in those threads--has anyone else ever wondered that?

If I see a thread I am annoyed by or one that I think is just plain BS I go past it to a different one rather than jumping in to nay-say. I fail to understand why some folks are so quick to jump in and be so awful. It is almost like they do it just to be hurtful.

Thanks for pointing out that GD thread, Cleita. It was interesting to see who today's skeptics were.

Regards!

Laura

8. OMG--Yes!
 I do remember them! I think they sometimes air on one of the Cartoon networks. I'd forgotten about the nature of their characters, though. Appreciate the reminder. ;)

 :hi: rumpel!

7. Sometimes it's so disheartening...
I get encouraged, and excited sometimes when I see people get fired up about something and they are posting and seeking support for something they'd like to try (ie. writing or petitioning a govt. office, senator, etc.). I just love seeing people "doing" something, anything they feel passionate about!

Then inevitably, others jump in and tell them not to bother, or that they shouldn't do it as it will make us all look bad or some such thing. :banghead:

Like you, I'll never understand why some don't just move along and allow others to do what they want, when they want, how they want--without seeming to need to (excuse the expression), piss in their proverbial cornflakes.

Sometimes our board seems a bit too much like those they complain about, the sheeple, as they say. I just don't get it.

9. you know what amazes me about those "skeptics"?
Edited on Sat Dec-30-06 02:48 AM by kineta
it's all about 'belief' - which is as superstitious as they're accusing others of being. They most likely know nothing about astrology - never investigated it with any sort of scientific method. They just simply "feel" like it's superstition because of some nearly religious "belief" in what they imagine to be science. Most of these pseudo-scientific skeptics haven't even got a clue that modern physics has been backing up many things that occult sciences have known for a long, long time.

oh and how jolly okay it is to ridicule the spiritual believes of others. very tolerant. very progressive.
