1. Begin anything new about three days after the New Moon but
for weight loss, look for Saturn to be on your ascendant , opposite the ruler of your ascendant or square the ruler of your ascendant.

If Jupiter (of expansion) is on your ascendant, it;s gonna be hard work ...lol

:hi:

4. When you're trying to get rid of things
(like bad habits) it's best to start at the waning moon (sometime after the full moon). Fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) are best for sticking to a new routine or regimen. This is what I've heard and read over the years -- little to no personal experience to validate for you.

From a personal experience viewpoint, as I've been paying attention recently, it begins to feel to me that the energy at the Dark of the Moon ( the day or two, maybe 3 before the New Moon) is NOT good for doing much going forward with anything. It's a very winding-down type of time, where the energies are nearly depleted and that lunar cycle is literally decaying or falling apart/dissipating. Not a negative time, because the ending of cycles and decay is part of Nature and not in and of itself "negative," but just not a time that's well-supported for much external, out-in-the-world activity.
