Got this email today from an astrologer friend:
"Portland astrologer and writer Bill Herbst is recovering from a debilitating stroke. If, like me, you've enjoyed and benefited from Bill's books, articles, and fascinating newsletter over the years, please consider kicking some bucks and some love his way. Follow the PayPal button on his website:"

"On November 26th, I suffered a stroke. A blood vessel ruptured in the left rear of my cerebellum at the brain stem, causing loss of balance, vision coordination, and inability to swallow. After ten days in the hospital, I was released on on December 8th. The prognosis for recovery is good.
"Needless to say, this is a life-changing event. I can barely stand or walk at this point,
and I continue to experience double-vision. The left side of my face and right side of my body have lost sensation, and my hand-eye coordination is moderately impaired. My consciousness, lucidity, and speech are all fine, thankfully unaffected by the stroke. Also, I can swallow again, though with some difficulty, so I'm eating solid food.
"On December 13th, I moved from Olympia, Washington, to a group home in Florence, Oregon, to begin rehabilitation.
At this point, I do not have a home as I was forced to leave my former residence. And as one of 50 million Americans with no health insurance, the hospital bills will dwarf my modest savings."For the time being, I am unable to work, so sessions and newsletters are on hold. Typing is challenging with double-vision and coordination issues, so please forgive me if I am unable to reply to emails for awhile. Thanks in advance for your loving concern and kind thoughts."
