my grandfather's luck
my grandfather use to say he was so lucky that if he made and sold hats then people would be born without heads

seems I have inherited his luck...

in the past 10 months I have a run of bad luck:

March 2007:
- laid off from a job I had for 9 years
- week later totaled my car

.......did get a new job and a "new" used car shortly after

July 2007:
- swerved to miss an on-coming car and mooshed up against a telephone pole

August 2007:
- our 11 year old airdale died of kidney failure

end of September 2007:
- my partner is laid off from her job
- went looking for a puppy, one pup we were ready to adopt was killed at the rescue pound by another dog, a second pup we were looking to adopt died of kennel cough before we even saw her. Did find and adopt a puppy at the end of September

beginning of October 2007:
- I get laid off from new job
......found new job at end of October

January 2008 - this past Thursday:
- a deer jumped out in front of my car, hit it, and now car is at collision shop getting fixed - going to take about 2 weeks...

I'm starting to feel like that character in Lil' Abner that has the dark cloud following his around..
Joe Btfsplk is a character in the comic strip Li'l Abner. He is well-meaning, but is the world's worst jinx, bringing bad luck to all those around him. A small dark cloud hovers over his head, to symbolize his bad luck.

1. that is a lot of stuff
I'm glad you have been able to find jobs. I guess I would recommend not owning your grandfather's luck, if you know what I mean. Maybe start visualizing some sunlight over your head peeking around the clouds. Also, practicing gratitude helps, because then those type things are attracted to you.

Have you thought about clearing your aura and your living space? That might be something reasonable to try.

Anyway, Good Luck!! (an amulet of some kind might also be helpful).

10. there are just so many ways
And they are probably all on the internet!! Seriously everyone has their own way of doing this, and I don't really have a list. I would do a search and find something that resonates with you. An example might be using sage to clear a space, or the aura.

As for finding an amulet, personally, I would use muscle testing (applied kinesiology) to find one. I am a fan of poking around EBay for stuff like this.

2. I wonder if there's some astrological transit that is currently occurring...
in your chart that might explain this chaos in your life. I hope that whatever is happening ends soon, radfringe.

7. oh radfringe
Sorry you've had such a rough ride.

I remember being totally impressed with how you responded to the challenges you faced last spring but didn't know that they've been on going.

So I just took a look.

You had Saturn going over your progressed Jupiter (9/06 & 3/07) and your Natal (late 7/07) and Progressed Pluto (mid 8/07). Those are challenging aspects for sure.

Your Progressed Moon went over your Natal Pluto about 5 months ago and it went over your Progressed Pluto about 3 months ago. That represents a major emotional purge.

Your Progressed Moon just entered Virgo over the past 2 weeks so this is a different phase for you where you'll feel as though your reality is a lot more user friendly.

Mars retrograded over your South Lunar Node about 2 weeks ago as well. It'll go forward over that point in mid February. That may be why your feeling your grandfather's energy.

Consider this as your new mantra. . ."I've transformed and released my grandfather's karma and my life is open to much more fulfilling and enriching opportunities and experiences."

Saturn went over your Vesta in late October/early November and will retro over that point in early February and make it's final forward pass in mid July.
It'll go over your Mars on September 2nd. That should break the negative car karma for good. Till then you might want to invoke divine protection every time you get behind the wheel.

As for the doggie disappointments, that would probably show up more in your composite chart with your partner.

Hope things lighten up for you very soon.

:spray: as long as my KARma doesn't run over my DOGma... I'll survive... :spray:

I thought about getting a rabbit's foot for the car, now I'm thinking about just putting up the whole rabbit

thanks for your input... looks like it won't be over until September.. I'll be asking for protection, in the meantime I'll also be looking on e-bay for a used Panzer tank..

9. It might be time to make a cartoon about that old joke.
Truthfully I do feel that the worst is over. You may believe that also by April or so.

Having the Progressed Moon leave a fire sign one tends to feel a lot less vulnerable. So that'll help energetically.

If you do get a tank do give us a heads up so we'll know to stay off the roads.

Kidding.

And you're very welcome.

5. Have you ever considered public transit?
Or a bicycle. Just a thought. :)

I agree with the notion about not owning your grandfather's luck. I also believe that things happen for reasons we don't always perceive. Those puppies may not have been right for you in some way that you can't foresee. Those jobs, well, you're not the only person getting laid off this year, even twice.

I have a friend who told me this great story about the day her daughter was born. They had purchased a puppy for the older kinds not long before the baby came, and the day she went into labor, her in-laws came to take care of the dog. The made sure he was safe in his kennel, and fed. But it was a hot july day, and they forgot to refill his water.

Meanwhile, my friend is giving birth to her daughter, how came into the world with some kind of life-threatening complication. Just as she got the word that her baby girl was going to be okay, her older daughter called her, crying hysterically, because their puppy had died.

My friend totally believes that the God or the universe or whomever took the dog, rather than the baby.

Lucky or unlucky, so much comes out of attitude. I encourage you to try to find the brighter possibility of whatever bad has happened to you.
