Gratitude and a clear-cut message from the Universe

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share the latest news. If you recall my drama from last fall (:eyes:), about my big decision to leave my coven, you know that I agonized over it for some time before making the leap. Since then, I've felt a little lonely and I haven't been doing a whole lot of magic, but I haven't regretted my decision, only the loss of some very close friends.

In the past couple of weeks, I've gotten some news about the coven from two different people, one who also left and another who's still a member. According to these ladies, it appears the coven has gone off the rails--even more trash-talking about people than ever before, initiating people who are not ready, lack of true connection with the Divine in rituals, etc. etc. etc. (The woman who also left just after I did was having some work done on her house, but the assumption at the coven was that because this guy's pickup truck was parked outside her house day after day, for a couple of weeks, she was having an affair with him. Was she PISSED when she found out the stories being circulated about her!)

I have taken the stories with a grain of salt or two (or 10) because of course news can be altered, misinterpreted, exaggerated, and all the rest, but the overall message remains the same: the ol' coven ain't what she used to be. I am truly sad that the organization I held dear for so many years has changed for the worse, but I also realize that it's not my responsibility to maintain its reputation.

After hearing the latest, I am immensely grateful for the message from the Universe to get out while the getting was good. I guess the lesson is to listen when the Great Is wallops you on the head with the Cosmic Bludgeon. I don't do that enough, but I'm now more conscious of it and try to listen more closely in order to stay on the path the Universe has laid out for me.

When my voice tells me to go, I just go. Even if it's hard and I can think of all kinds of rational reasons for staying, that feeling is never wrong. And that goes for every relationship, whether with an individual or a group. Good going!!

A friend of mine says I live my life "in boxes"--I live one life for a while, and when I'm done, I pack up the box and put it away and never go back to it again. But the urge to leave is never wrong for me, either, although sometimes I don't know why right away. With my coven, it turned out that I needed to leave in order to grow personally, spiritually, and professionally (I had no idea at the time that it was affecting my career as well), plus it was causing me a lot of stress, but I had been looking the other way because, well, it was my sisters, for gods' sakes. I couldn't see that the dynamic had changed and they were no longer a support system, but instead a detriment to my life.
