The Mythology of The All: Volume Five: The Wheel
Edited on Mon May-26-08 09:14 AM by shadowknows69
This volume is inspired by The Grateful Dead and the TV series “Firefly”

“The wheel is turning and you can’t slow it down.
You can’ let go and you can’t hold on
You can’t go back and you can’t sit still
If the thunder don’t get you then the lightning will.

Small wheel turns by the fire and rod
Big wheel turns by the grace of God
Every time that wheel turn round,
Bound to cover just a little more ground.”
-Garcia, Hunter, Kreutzman

“Mal: Wheel never stops turning Badger.
Badger: That only matters to the people on the rim.”
-“Firefly

The Wheel is the construct of Order upon the multiverse that tells it how to live and move. It is the crankshaft of the Field and life itself forms the hands that turn it. The Wheel, by Order’s decree, is the treatise of rules all things must follow, no matter the span of linear time involved.

Not scribed on any set of ancient stone tablets, although lesser beings have tried, it is written in every molecule of creation. The Wheel doesn’t stop turning at any behest save that of The All, and if all existence was once again extinguished, even The All may fall prey to the standard it held for its children.

The Wheel turns that there should be a cycle of birth, death, rebirth and ultimate completion to all the myriad forms of life in the multiverse. “From the mountains mighty to the smallest of fly, it may be so that even Gods may die.” speak The Elders of our tribes. As the energy of the field is from the Gods, brought from The All, and is in each of us, so may the Gods also suffer our fates. All things in space and time have their cycles and all things ride the same wheel. The Wheel that Order has placed us on does not turn equally for all things; it is a journey to reach the center.

The Wheel regulates the stars, the turn of the worlds, the black hole’s ravenous hunger. The baby born bloody into a new dawn and a mother’s arms, and the calf shat out upon the dirt. The rivers, the land, the seas, the ice, the fire, and all the spaces between the seen and the unseen. The Wheel makes us equals and rivals all at once, racing, most times unknowingly to a common goal, using infinite methods to reach it.

The suns rising and falling is The Wheel, as is the day they will burn out and no new day will come. Birth, death, rebirth, completion. The Wheel is also a cosmic judge of sorts as it needs to be in balance to turn smooth. Its purpose can never be altered ultimately but it can require repair to make the journey on time.

The Wheel sees to it that all cogs in its gears are following the pattern they are assigned to, so the machine can run. Entropy is its creed and only The All knows whether that means the multiverse is eternal or only inevitably rolling toward its own demise. It is theorized that despite the fact The Wheel governs how The All’s creations move through their path in the multiverse, and even Order is subject to its rules. Chaos’ role in regard to The Wheel may be to occasionally gum up the gears.

1. Wow! You really know how to make me think.
I was wondering just last week when we'd get another volume from you. I wasn't disappointed.

Thanks, shadowknows69.

"I've been waiting for the snow to fall
I've been waiting for the snow to fall
I've been waiting for the snow to fall
And cover us all
Yeah, I've been waiting for the snow to fall

I've been watching the moon as it grows
I've been watching the moon as it grows
I've been watching the moon as it grows
And shines down below

I've been looking deep into your eyes
I've been looking deep into your eyes
I've been looking deep into your eyes
You'll never be mine

I've been waiting for the snow to fall
I've been waiting for the snow to fall
I've been waiting for the snow to fall
And cover us all
Yeah, I've been waiting for the snow to fall

I've been spinning 'round the wheel of life
I've been spinning 'round the wheel of life
And I made one more night
Yeah, I've been spinning 'round the wheel of life

I've been spinning ?round the wheel of life
I've been spinning ?round the wheel of life
and I made one more night
Yeah, I've been spinning ?round the wheel of life"
