May 2009 Prayer, Light and Healing Requests

Given that Earth Day has just recently occurred and Mother's Day is coming up, our beloved Mother Earth seems to be an appropriate focus for the opening post of this month's Prayer, Light and Healing Requests thread.

We are so blessed by the patience and unwavering love that our dear mother shows humanity. I offer my sincere gratitude and love to sweet Gaia for the sacrifices that she makes for us. It is my hope that our devotion in some way lightens her burden. It is my desire that the energy put into this thread also help her.

I have another important thing happening on Saturday night, and need to be as confident as possible to ensure maximum possible success with the opportunity. I'm doing my own things to keep self-confidence up there, (reminding myself of past successes, etc.) but would appreciate any extra help anyone wants to provide.

do feel more positive today. I eat local honey almost every day and will make more of an effort to eat it EVERY day. Now, about those "cleavers." I tried to find out more information about it and it appears to be what I call bedstraw and have been pulling out of my garden and flower beds. If it's the same thing, I have it in abundance. Do you have a picture? I couldn't find one online.

and making a skin wash with Cleavers and hot water (like a tea) will clear up skin problems. Wash your face with a very mild soap and water..then splash on the cleavers (warm), let it set a few minutes and splash on some warm water..finish with cold water splash to tighten the pores.
Cleaver grows wild everywhere but some health food stores might have some.
I am not a dr and this should not be taken as medical advice. :) Only saying what I use and it works great.

Ask you pendulum or guides if you could get some relief from a copper scouring pad, and if the answer is in the affirmative, get a scouring pad and carry it around with you. I've been doing that for a few months now and it's really helped with the allergies. More potent than a copper ring or bracelet, less irritating to use than a spice-bottle contraption. (But whatever works for you, of course.)

cancer surgery this week. First is my mother-in-law, whose surgery is today for recurrence of breast cancer. Also, my dear friend's brother is having surgery tomorrow for stage 4 colorectal cancer.

Could we send light to people here on DU? There's some weird stuff going on and a lot of people are angry. I don't know what the deal is (I didn't even know anything was going on till it was done), but there's a lot of guessing about others' motivations and many threats to quit DU. I realize that this could be part of our progression and it's just time for some people to find a new place, but anything we can do to soothe people's tempers and quash rumors would do a world of good, I think. Seriously, thanks, NF for the levity and reminding us to be thankful for those wonderful things.

I ask for healing energy for the relationship between me and my grown daughter.
With Mother's Day coming soon, this is especially painful.

And I ask for positive cash flow, that my house be rented or sold soon and that all will unfold for the highest good of everyone involved.

I hope that you're able to heal your relationship with your daughter and that you are able to get some action going in reference to renting or selling your house.

My boyfriend rants about how his mother died of cancer when he was 22 and he wishes he had a Mom to talk to. And that was 40 years ago!! He still hurts terribly because of that.

It sort of worked last time, it can work again.

Mercury, please be gentle with BI during the upcoming 6 weeks. I ask this via grace. Thank you for your service to the Universe, beloved Mercury.

the sorry feeble old fool somehow tripped/fell on the back deck and broke his leg. He did all of this while no one was home. That's his story. My mother has osteo-arthritis in both knees and doesn't get around well (surgery is an option). He's never been much of a father, but my mother (and I, my brothers are rather undependable) don't need the extra-added stress of him being in the hospital. My annoyance aside, good thoughts are greatly appreciated.

this past weekend was a merciful end to a bad week. My mother had to officially sign-in my father into the nursing home, my brother got busted for DUI and I bailed him out, my mother then had a panic attack and woke me up at 5am and I stopped by their house before going to work. I got my brothers to be supportive and stop by/call last week, but I don't know how long into this week that will last--I can only hope. I work at the Renaissance Festival and it rained all weekend, which is the norm for Scots & Kilts/Highland weekend, as it has for the past 15 years. :P

I hope this week will be better.

We learned on Friday that my husband has to undergo another surgery. He has basal cell carcinoma, a particularly aggressive kind. He has it from his service in the Navy during 'Nam, so it is the V.A. we must deal with. He's had it for MANY years, so it's not like it's news that he has cancer. What is new is the sort of surgery he must undergo once again.

Usually, they do outpatient Mohs surgeries with his cancer (they remove some, check the margins in the lab, remove more if necessary, and do that until the margins are clear) , but this time, it will be more extensive.

There was a nodule on the fleshy part of his left shoulder close to the neck that he'd been asking them to look at for MONTHS now. They kept putting him off (typical), and finally decided to look at it. Well, the doctor on duty (another V.A. problem is rotating physicians) decided to just take the nodule out. That was good, except she didn't get it all. A week later, he had developed an abscess beneath the stitches. He says it doesn't hurt, but it is now an infected hole about a half inch wide and a half inch deep. (He can't see it, but it's my job to clean and dress it for him, so I know.)

They told him on Friday that the cancer from this nodule is tracking along a nerve and he will have to be hospitalized for this surgery. They said that this nerve is one that controls movement of the shoulder and that it is possible he may lose some movement of his left arm.

They did this to him once before--wouldn't listen to him and let something go like this until it was invading muscle and nerve. That surgery left him with half the back of his neck removed, a drooping eyelid because of nerve damage, and some hearing loss. He was declared 100% disabled due to the results of that surgery. (There was more to it than I described here... some incompetence and negligence on the part of the surgeon was involved as well.)

Understandably, he is scared and depressed. We don't know when the surgery will be, or even where (they sometimes make him travel 80-100 miles for surgery -- another added stress). They are also notoriously slow about scheduling. I would assume soon, though. I'm just asking for some energy to help him through the depression right now. The possibility of loss of movement in his arm is getting to him. He is worrying about all the things he needs to do and wants to do that he may not be able to do. He is quiet and not talking to me much about it, but when he is quiet like this, that's when I know he's very depressed.

I am feeling positive as much as is possible, but it is difficult to stay positive when he is not. Any help you could send to help lift his spirits would be much appreciated. I am doing what I can, but it isn't enough and I am starting to feel drained and am afraid I will also begin to sink into depression with him. We could use an energy boost. Please don't direct it at me, though. Just to him. If we can pull him up, that is what is most important, and that will help me as well.

I'll also pray that everything goes smoothly for him throughout the process so that you both have as little stress as possible and that he comes out after the surgery with all of the cancer found and removed without further incident. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

He actually seems a little better today. More centered and a little lifted in spirit. He talked to me about it some this morning, and I think that helped, too. It's never good to just carry things within like that in silence, IMO.

I have been working on a project for over 2 years. It has been slow but diligent, following leads, coming back from dead ends, finding my way over obstacles, slowly, slowly. Today, I called my hope-to-be-customer. They are excited about our product. It has one drawback, no UL certificate, but all other country certificates, including environmentally sound. Now, another company has come in with their product. I don't know if it is as good, or better than mine and what their price.

So, my friends, sisters, brothers, cousins, uncles, aunts and ancestors; please see my New Earthlight LED tubes the new wave of lighting.

Also am having trust/money issues with the BF. I was terrified he would leave over money issues.

I didn't realize he was that unhappy with me over my putting the house on the market etc. I have not had enough energy to do what I need to do.

I left my front door open for air and a little bird flew in. In the confusion it flew around our living room in circles and kept hitting its head on the ceiling. When we finally got it into a box her little crown feathers had worn off and she had an abrasion on her scalp. She flew into the tree just off our porch and called for mates with no problem, but I am worried for the poor thing.

Please send vibes and healing prayers.

Her mother is dying of colon cancer, and Michelle is taking it very hard. It has been a very tough couple of years and she has put in a lot of extra time to help her mother out. She was in denial for quite a while, I think, but now realizes the end is very close and is just darn sad about it.

May her mother make a peaceful transition. :hug:

That aside, he works very sporadically, freelance and other temp-type jobs, but nothing fulltime. To insult to injury, he injured himself playing soccer on my team. He's been hobbling for about 3 weeks. He's depressed about that, and frustrated and angry at our parents, and angrier that they've become old and feeble and require extra assistance. Add to that, he holds a grudge for a LONG time--no exaggeration. He needs a break, but I fear that he's creating the conditions that will cause a downward spiral. :(

I did some EFT work this morning and started learning about muscle testing. In doing the research I found some questions that lead me to realize some Inner Child issues that I have. They are dealing with my relationship with my mother and some deep negative beliefs I instilled from what she said to me. It's a pretty profound AHA moment and I would appreciate your support as I work through these issues.

Had a leaf stuck to the heel of my foot and when flying miraculously not stabbing myself with the scissors I was carrying. Reiki-ed myself immediately but I feel things stiffening up a bit which if I am not careful will be worse tomorrow going by past minor accidents. Nothing broken, I know what broken bones feel like, just feel strained.
