1. :o)
Would you please explain how to say your user name? Is it win-YAN-staz? Does it have a meaning? If so, are you open to explaining it?

I've enjoyed what you've posted already. :)

2. The name is one I was given in a vision with the Mountain Spirits in Big Sky Montana
Winyan means woman in Lakota, Staz means eyes/looks and Wakien is found in Old English meaning "To awaken" and Wakan is Lakota for Sacred. I was given to understand at that time that Wakien also means "in a sacred manner". The whole name they said The Creator knows me by is Woman Who Looks Within.
Although I grew up around the Blackfeet, Northern Cheyenne, Lakota and of course White people in Wyoming, Montana and the Dakotas, I myself am Micmac ( it is spelled a number of ways like Mc'kmaq,) Tribe, Algonquin Nation, Bear Clan and French Arcadian. I was taken from my own people at 6 months old. Somewhere in my ancestors is also a Huron war chief and a Abanaki ever so great grandmother.
Why I understood this in Lakota is beyond me.

Winyan= win- yawn
Staz = stazzz
Wakien= walk-keen

This is the vision in which I was told by the Mountain Spirit the name of the Spirit I had encountered in a previous vision in 1984, right after I got to sit in the Light and I learned he was "The bright and the beautiful, he is the Morning Star."

Although it is not traditional to share all about a vision with just anyone, there are parts I can talk about.

3. I just want to clarify something about the Mountain Spirits..
Each mountain has a spirit and they take the form of a mountain..in fact the one that spoke to me took several forms, all forms of mountains before he became more "solid". One of the forms looked like a child's drawing of a mountain, another was very forested mountain and his final form was a lot like Jabba the hut from the neck up!!
In fact I thought that and was very much embarrassed and ashamed when I realized that he had "heard" my thoughts. :(
I did not get to speak with the other mountain spirits although they talked among themselves twice (they wouldn't let me "hear". but I was very much aware of them talking among themselves about me.)
They are very much aware of us.
This is why Native Americans give a gift of thanks (small amount of tobacco in red cotten cloth tied with red twine...must be bio-degradable please) and respect when visiting a mountain.
I also wanted to say this..be sure you have it clearly in mind what you wish to ask about BEFORE you have a vision because you will only get what you ask for.
I knew that this vision was an opportunity but I didn't have my questions ready..and so when I asked if I could ask a couple of questions and they said yes...all I got was exactly two questions.
Tell me, what would you ask if this opportunity came to you?
I asked about the name of the Spirit that had gone into my chest in a previous astral projection and vision and I then asked what my Spirit name was as those were the first things I thought about.
As soon as they answered the second one, I was thrown back into my body.

4. A HO!
I live on the side of a mountain, and the Old Ones are a great force here. As it is sung in an inipi song, "all things are sacred". It is an honor to meet and speak with you; your posts give me goosebumps and feelings of joy!

5. Namaste Mitakuye oyasin ( we are all related/all my relations)
It is nice to meet you. Our ancestors were neighbors :).
Here is a poem for you my sister.

The Raven Sees
Eyes not blinded by illusion,, oh Great Spirit, hear my plea..
I would be as the Raven..the Raven "Sees".
To fly across the skies of Heaven, to ride the wind on wings of Light..
I would be as the Raven, I would have the Second Sight.
To see the world as you have made it, as I will, so mote it be..
I would be as the Raven..
The Raven Sees.

To clarify the poem...Ravens "see" in color reversal. This means that to a Raven, another Raven is white,... and a Raven can also "see" where another raven has died as they also see energy patterns.
One of my Totems is a Raven and he gave me this poem. They also love sparkles as they know a sparkle can capture the second attention. You can use a spot of a sparkle like in a flame or a reflection of light to focus on in order to control pain, like in childbirth, or meditate on to help you get out of body. This is why a Raven's nest is decorated with shiny objects. They capture the Raven's mate's second attention.

7. Thank you for this beauty
and for spelling Mitakuye oyasin. I've said it many a times but have always misspelt it, it seems.

6. This reminds me of the Ascended Masters information about the Devic Kingdom.
According to their teachings, everything (even the human body) has an elemental being associated with it. (Every flower, stone, city, river, etc.) The elemental being associated with a mountain would be a mighty being indeed.

Maybe next life I'll be able to access such things more easily.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us, winyanstaz. Your description is lovely. :)
