A Brain Scientist With A 'Stroke Of Insight'

Perhaps this is redundant and many here already know of Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. She is an absolutely fascinating listen at the link below. After suffering a left hemisphere stroke, in which it took her 8 years to "recover," she was basically stuck in the infinite Now and Oneness, a place she loves and can switch to when she feels like it at any time.

I think what I appreciate most is that she attached no religion or belief system to her ongoing experience because we are, as she says, "wired for spirituality." So whether one believes in god, gods and goddesses or nothing at all, that place of infinite peace of mind is always there.

We are truly awesome creatures!

10. Jill really is a fascinating person
When I first saw her lecture it made me think of LSD experiments I heard about. She describes her experience in great detail along with props i.e. the brain.

18. I just watched....
the whole Oprah interview...

it's in 4 1/2 hour segments.
EXCELLENT...she is very inspiring.
Makes so much sense to me.

Well, well worth the time to watch!

11. Yeah, Manifestor_of_Light, I'm ordering it, as well.
I so love it when science meets Spirit. I also love the part in the interview when she said "All That Is is in my right hemisphere." I guess it drives home a little more profoundly that "It" is not somewhere out there and that we carry It with us at all times.

I wonder if the one you listened to was on NPR. My husband is the one who actually heard it on that station when he was driving home the other day.
