PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — At first, Senior Airman William Crisp shrugs off the attention that comes with being one of 11 people in the entire Air Force to be featured in a recruitment calendar/planner that will be seen around the country.

But the Patrick Air Force Base senior airman knows the importance of it. He said he’s committed to encouraging others to seek the same career path that has brought him satisfaction and plenty of stories that he said will last a lifetime.

Crisp will be featured with pictures and stories in Technical Education Magazine, a publication the Air Force Recruiting Service produces each year. The magazine is distributed in August to 30,000 high school shop instructors, who work closely with young people who have technical skills.

“It’s going to be seen by a lot of people,” said Crisp, an explosives ordnance technician. “That’s encouraging that maybe I can help someone make a good decision about a career.”

Those featured are from career fields the Air Force needs to fill. There are only eleven because one month in the calendar section will not feature a person.
