2. Military wives who survive 20+ years are among the most valuable members
of our society.

I wish we didn't need a military but we do and military families are special, thanks to wives who manage everything while their husbands defend our country.

I don't mean to leave out male spouses of female military personnel but they are a small portion of the total military spouse population.

I think that's a great gesture on Wes's part to let his wife know this. Spouses to vets are super troopers in their own way. They endure a lot of what war does to one as much as the vet themselves over time.
