A Navy T-45C Goshawk assigned to Training Air Wing 1 crashed Tuesday night just south of a runway at Naval Air Station Meridian, Miss., while on a routine training mission, according to a statement released Wednesday by Naval Air Forces.

The aircraft’s two pilots, both assigned to Training Squadron 7, ejected safely but sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to a civilian hospital for evaluation and are in stable condition.

An investigation is underway to determine the crash’s cause.
