9. it's nice she has someone as young as you who knew her
and you could tell your kids, grandkids, etc about her.

a lot of times kids want to find out about their family history but have a hard time finding information , especially somene who knew them. but it's nice to live on through memories and stories passed down the family.

10. Ive been planning to incorporate her last name in to one of my kids
should I have kids. See she had all sisters except one brother and he was a priest so he didn't marry of course.

20. Kleeb, I'm so sorry.
But here's something to make you feel better. As long as she lives in your memory she's still alive. In a funny way I still feel like my grandparents and my mother are still with me. It's very comforting.

21. I am so sorry Kleeb
I wish that this type of pain was not a part of life. You are probably going to feel numb and strange for awhile. When my father passed away, I did not cry right away. It took some time, and then it just hit me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Maybe you can take some comfort in knowing that she is at peace and pain-free now. I've lost many dear ones over the course of my life, and it never gets any easier. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts.

I have something to remind me of her right next to me. Its a photo album she made for me when I was a little kid. I have things that remind me of my godmother too.

32. Sorry, Kleeb Don't be afraid to cry.
Kerry cried when his friend died in Nam. Dean cries whenever anyone asks him about Charlie, his dead brother. It's just too sad...
Blessings and prayers...

40. Don Droz and Richard Pershing
Droz was a fellow Swift Boat captain Kerry knew in Nam; he died two weeks after Kerry left country. "Persh" was Kerry's best childhood friend, who went to Yale with him - he died in Vietnam.

45. Loss is the one thing that joins all human souls
Live long enough in this world and you will experience loss. As will everyone you meet. This is part of what gives the human condition it's poignancy. This is how we develop our higher more compassionate selves. We see in others the losses we ourselves have suffered. And can offer comfort.

49. I am so sorry John. But I believe she will still be there watching over
you. My grandmother died when I was a child, but my mother swore she still picked out my clothes as she was want to do when alive! The unexpected item that would have been just her choice somehow would land in my mothers hand. Oddly ,it is almost the anniversary of my mothers passing and I often feel her presence as well. You are not alone. Be thankful you know such a wonderful woman and she will continue to guide you. My condolences to both you and your family.
