Randi Rhodes adds her two cents to the Obama Endorsement
First, I really need to stop listening to Randi Rhodes--but she does get good guests, and I do get bored at work sometimes.

Apparently (according to Randi) the importance of JK's endorsement is in the "golden rolodex." She seemed AMAZED that Kerry still had a national email network in the millions and money behind it. hmmm.

She made some comments about not knowing what Kerry's agenda was ... and I know she would need to pay attention to what he was doing, and for some reason she refuses to.

And Kerry wanted to position himself with Obama for the new administration.

sigh.

1. And this is the same person who played his testimony on air
and made me proud.

I thought she was informed.

I thought wrong.

Randi Rhodes is too egotistical to believe that she needs to actually do a little research before she goes on the air and shoots her mouth off. I'm on NPR if I need someone to listen to these days during her time slot. ;)

3. have never listened to her and never will
from what others say she seems like the typical type that likes to spout off on things without informing themselves.

and Kerry's endorsement was sought after by both Clinton and Obama.

5. I heard that segment and I didn't take it the way you did.
Yes...the golden rolodex was really used as an analogy, but that's because she was explaining to others the importance of his endorsement or any other organization's endorsement.

Also, I didn't think she acted 'amazed' at the national email network. In fact, what I heard was her impressing on someone the importance of his national email network and that he's still strong enough with the network and money and the political setup to actually be useful to the candidate he chose to endorse--Obama. She explained why Hillary wanted it so much.

I truly didn't hear any snark or meaness in anything she said about kerry today.

Regarding your comment about the agenda--I just didn't hear it the same way as you did. In fact, I felt she spoke about him having an agenda and that Obama would be able to help his agenda happen. That is actually true--it's the reason why anyone endorses a candidate--they feel that that person suits their agenda.

Regarding the "Position himself with Obama"...once again, that's not what I heard. She had Richardson's clip, and she played his interviews when he drops out. She spoke about how Richardson would like to have a position in the new administration. She also had clips from Richardson where he spoke about that type of thing too. That HE intends to be a 'mover and shaker' in the West and that he looks forward to helping... Richardson's statement was not specific to Obama. It was specific for the next nominee.

I truly don't get any of the comments in here.

I'm wondering about if we listened to the same show or if we just have different biases.

I am not all that thrilled with some of the things RR says, but I do like to think that I can be fair. (Just like I try to be fair to anyone.) I'm sorry but I didn't hear any of the rudeness that you describe.

In fact, quite the contrary. She stated outright that she doesn't believe in bashing democratic contenders and she doesn't take sides, because she doesn't want to give listening Republcans or independents a reason to not vote democratic. She did unconditionally endorse Gore should he run.

6. Thanks for your view
I guess she has gotten on my last nerve once too often. She spent well over a week during the "Don't Tase Me, Bro!" episode bashing Kerry daily on her show, at times even indicating that he was somehow responsible since he didn't run screaming to the back of the auditorium and wrestle the police to the ground. It really left a bad taste with me that has lingered.

She has bashed Kerry on other occasions, including multiple claims that he wouldn't come on her show because he was "afraid of her." It appears that those previous shows may have affected the way I heard her today.

7. Yeh. The tazing thing was awful on her part. I think she turned a lot of
people off.

I suspect that she got some feedback on it because she was not bullying anyone today.

Personally, I think if Kerry wants to go on her show he should. But sadly, I noticed this with Ed Schultz too. When these radio hosts get ticked that someone doesn't come on their show, then they bad mouth them. What's that saying? The squeeky wheel gets the grease.
