The DLC did it reminds me of the Warriors Did It
I never saw The Warriors but played hte video game, theres this guy in it who has a real whiny voice who says "The Warriors Did It" I bring this up because the way people talk about the DLC reminds me of that guy in that squealing voice. Seriously its just a think tank, they're not part of the party leadership in Congress, I had a chart but its on my computer that doesn't work that had all the ranking members of the congressoinal committees in both houses and leadership posiitions and it basically proved that 70% of democrats who are RMMs are NOT DLC. Its just a think tank, there are good dems who are DLC and bad dems that are DLC. Its not that black and white. Oh and my DLC governor chose a former AFL-CIO leader to be commonwealth secretary, sweet eh?

1. especially when people have to lie
like making Nancy Pelosi out to be part of the DLC. just like the fools who "forgot" about why certain Dems supported censure for Clinton and about a certain Dem who was for continuing with impeachment trial. they "forgot" that Pelosi was challenged by a few DLC and conservative members who thought she was too liberal for the party.

and now they make her out to be the dlc ?

A stupid boogeyman thats not worth getting upset over. Do I agree with all the goals of most so called new democrats? No, of course not, I don't think I'll ever agree with someone 100%. Yeah I saw what Kos did with the censure list for Clinton, I found that blatantly dishonest because in all fairness to that one democrat who means well I believe he was alone in his vote to let proceedings continue, if youre gonna fry senate dems for supporting censuring Clinton, be consistent. Pelosi is part of that progressive caucus that Sanders chairs. I thikn the DLC is just a worthless boogeyman, accusing someone of being DLC is the thing to do if you wnat to criticize a Democrat here. Its just dishonest rubbish to me. My last two governors have been members of the DLC, and you know what they're without a doubt the best governors in my state's modern history. I thikn the DLC's goals are wrong but are they evil or as bad as the republicans, no I dont think so, they're misguided honestly but they're not in league with Bush and co, well ok maybe Lieberman is because he's proud to be endorsed by McCain and Chris Shays but other htan that many of them are good people.

3. i don't care for Al From and other's who are leadership of it
but i agree with you about how it's become a boogeyman for many. anytime they don't like something make it about the dlc. can you believe they made the Hackett vs Sherrod Brown thing into a DLC issue with dlc being on Brown's side ? it had nothing to do with the dlc and based on the DLC site they supported Hackett.

but i think a lot of people who do this are freepers or right wing green supporting trolls looking to disrupt.

4. I did see that
Hackett is a honorable guy but I don't see why people object to Sherrod Brown. He's a good Democrat who has experience being elected statewide there, I believe he was secretary of state or something. I honestly don't think the DLC plays that big a roll in Ohio Democratic politics, DLC members tend to be on the socially liberal side, not saying no one in the Ohio delegation is a social liberal but DLC members do tend to be more free market on the economy, and most of the democratic congress people there like Brown, Kucinich, Tubbs-brown, Kaptur(Who I worked for), and theres others too I know all tend to be what people call populists on economic issues. I admit I think the DLC and From are flawed in their approach to beocme more free market on the economy, I prefer a return to a more populist message myself because I think it actually works better with voters.

5. The Warriors
Absolutely one of the best cult flicks ever made. It was re-released a couple of years ago on DVD. It's a must watch JohnKleeb!

8. I do
I've seen the film a half dozen times. It ranks up there with Carpenter's Escape from New York.

10. Escape From New York's Snake Pliskin is the basis for the character
in my favorite video game of all time, Metal Gear.

7. These are the types of statement that make people mad.

There are two living politicians and two deceased ones that the Moose reveres.
...
"Joe Lieberman and John McCain embody the qualities so valued by Scoop - unshakable integrity, the ability to stay the course against the odds, and a willingness to cross party lines to get the job done."

Those qualities are largely missing from most politicians these days. ...

I agree that they are good and bad Democrats that are listed in the DLC list, but when their spokepeople say things like From or Marshall are saying, these spokepeople become a liability.

I have once and for all decided to judge people on their vote record and not on a label, but I cant avoid growing when I see things like that.
